Help! I can not stop listening ....

Thank you Lloyd,

The GAT/ART synergy is through the roof. I remember that day when I personally handed off that GAT. It was a long, sad ride home. This was the only piece I had to get back in my system because it left such an impression on me. I could not get home quickly enough this time to hook up the new GAT/ART. I was stunned from the first notes and knew I had made the right choice.
I will say, even though I am extremely happy with my CJ GAT/Gryphon Colosseum combination (it gives me flexibility to go with hard-to-drive speakers incl the biggest Rockports), I also always wondered what CJ/ART would sound like in my system...particularly if I ultimately decided to stay in the line of big Wilsons and update to the latest XLF which is a great load for the ART monos to drive.

I am most interested to hear which of your speakers you think works best for your ear. I have heard TAD Ref Ones and SF Evolutions. So once we all get a sense from you as to what you think...maybe, just maybe there are a few speakers options we can all discuss on this thread...;)!

I'm all ears. I think the TADs will be hooked up in a few days. I'll get a better idea how that combo works or doesn't work. My sense is that the CJ/TAD combo will actually be great. Stay tuned.

I'm sure the ART monos would sound spectacular on the XLF's. They seem to be fairly easy to drive.

Yes, they are. A benign load and after a lot of listening to other SOTA speakers, I appreciate more what Wilson has done with this design. A big full-out speaker that fits in a small footprint (20" x 20" or so)...about 6' but adjustable for a relatively short listening distance if required given that every top module tilts and slides back and forth, plus every resistor can be changed to adjust decibel dispersion cone by cone. And a load that can be driven by SET amps. Understandable why this is one of the most if not the most widely sold of the 6-figure speakers in the world.

Sounds great, Joe...look forward to getting into speaker choices soon. Will be a lot of fun...with your electronics, only the best will do.

Sounds like you're having a blast Joe! Enjoy it buddy and soak it all in.

Thank you Michael. I am indeed. I am trying to savor every minute. It's kind of like the first time you hear an audiophile system and realize, OMG! I never know it could sound this good. I can only imagine how nice your Xs-150's sound. Who cares about the heat when our systems sound this great.

Time check! I feel like a crack head. What the heck is going on? Just one more hit man, please. I'm almost praying for a power failure so I can go to bed. This must be a little like heaven. Thank you Conrad Johnson :)

Mary Chapin Carpenter sounds great right now. Vocals are amazing and wonderful.

Nice Joe!!!!! Don't listen to anyone. Stay up till your eyes can't focus anymore, then fall asleep with your favorite tunes on. Something you can't do with vinyl. :)
Glad your loving the new setup.

OMG!!!!! Joe
You are definitely infected with the dreaded virus called tubeitis. There is no cure. Resistance is futile:ninja::ninja:

Don't you just hate it when that happens!!

At first, yes. Then I just smile. :)

Thanks Steve. I'm just doing what you recommend. So happy.

Damn, Joe! Sounds like another epic listening session.

Allen,

My GAT/ART combo struck the right chord. Ha! I'm totally in awe! Heat and tube wear be damned.

have you place the covers on both amps yet? wonder if that helps shield a bit from the heat...
