Someone please pull the plug. Messrs Conrad and Johnson are ruining my sleep. I can't stop listening to my system. Normally a great system lulls me to sleep. Just when I think okay, after this song I'll go to bed, but now, no way. I feel as if I could reach out and touch Alison Krauss or grab a guitar from the band. Looking at the soft tube glow while the music plays and feeling the gentle heat rise from the front of the room is amazing. Glorious tubes. You gotta love'em.

Lmao!!! I'm just getting up and heading to work, and you still listening???
Go to bed Joe!!!

Joe curls up cat-like in front of the GAT/ARTs when it's time to rest, music playing all the while of course.

Ray

You will know the feeling soon enough. My footprints are all over the amps. See you all in a few hours. Good night?

Ray,

I'm thinking about an ARTsa stereo for my "summer" amp. Whadya think?

Joe the same thing happened to me when I first got the original Dynaudio C1's. That was when I still had the Bryston B100sst. After 3 work days with almost no sleep I stopped sitting in front of my system during the work week. With the weekends being busy I have almost no time to just sit and listen anymore. But the system is on whenever I am awake. With the C1 Signatures and the Octave it's even better.

Hmmm, now that you mention it... I could use an ART stereo on the little upstairs setup.. Then swap it in to main system for summer. Oh geez that seems so decadent, but what the crap.:disbelief:

Hopefully we've helped in some small way with CJs aug/sept cash flow!

Ha!

You are as bad as me. Nirvana awaits you Ray, attach the seat belt and enjoy!

George,

Very cool! I know what you mean. I need to hear some Octave gear. I love the auto-off feature. That's something that I need.

Oh boy, I need a nap.

Joe - you have a clear case of tubeitis. There is no cure. Your audio-immune system has been affected. You must stay clear of vinyl or R2R for fear that you will never...ever....return from the DARK SIDE!

Joe, that is really awesome to see you are getting so much enjoyment from your CJ gear. Coffee is your friend today. :)

Joe you definitely have some kind of virus. You should take the rest of the week off. You don't want to chance giving it to any of your co-workers.

Thank you everyone. I am still recuperating from last night, but wow, did I have fun. Tubes are magic. I really appreciate all your kind thoughts.

Great stuff, Joe...congrats. I remember we first talked about whether you'd go for ARTs with your GAT. And then your GAT disappeared, and it seemed that moment might have been lost. Really great to hear you are enjoying some sleepless nites! Personal concerts right in front of you and in the comfort of your own home. Enjoy!

Thank you Lloyd,

The GAT/ART synergy is through the roof. I remember that day when I personally handed off that GAT. It was a long, sad ride home. This was the only piece I had to get back in my system because it left such an impression on me. I could not get home quickly enough this time to hook up the new GAT/ART. I was stunned from the first notes and knew I had made the right choice.

I am most interested to hear which of your speakers you think works best for your ear. I have heard TAD Ref Ones and SF Evolutions. So once we all get a sense from you as to what you think...maybe, just maybe there are a few speakers options we can all discuss on this thread...;)!
