Just happened across your forum while doing a search today for Spiral Groove 'tables. Looks like a great place, so I thought I'd join in all the fun!
A little about myself…I've been a music lover all my life. I remember when I was only 5 years old, I would always sneak out of my parents house and go to the neighbors and plunk away on both their piano and organ. I'm sure it was nothing but noise, but I sure loved making it! Now I play both the tenor and bass trombone in jazz venues and a Montagnana cello in classical settings.
I also enjoy listening to recorded playback as well. My system would probably be considered to be vintage compared to the many of yours here on the forum, but it still brings much enjoyment to my ears…many times it will induce goosebumps on my skin, cause me to stop breathing for long moments, bring emotional tears to my eyes….so I guess it still works for me.
I'm using the Linn LP12/Naim ARO/Benz RubyH Zebrawood. Artemis Labs Ph-1 tubed phonostage, First Sound Presence Audio Linestage tubed preamp, Bel Canto SET40 845 single ended triode amplifier, Dunlavy SCIV Signature Loudspeakers. Other sources include the Naim CDSII/XPS/Super Burndy top loading cd player and a McIntosh MR67 tubed tuner.
When not playing my instruments or listening to my home stereo, I enjoy spending time with my wife and golden retriever out on our boat, or capturing beautiful images with my camera.
I'm looking forward to getting to know you all and talking about all things music and gear related that we audiophiles love so much.
Warmest regards,
No Regrets
