Get together at Bob's Rhapsody

I can't believe it but the SoundKaos Wave 40's showed up today from Switzerland.6moons audioreviews: Soundkaos Wave 40 Yesterday we never even got close to hearing what the Absolare amps sounded like. On the Wave speakers, that are 93db and feel more like 100db....I'm running the volume control at 9 o'clock vs. 4 o'clock when driving the D3's. The 52 Watt SET's would be great in a small to medium room, but not in a large room like my current room.

I can't wait to hear these. This is the type of speaker those Absolares need to drive. I like their looks too.

I am sitting here now listening to the Waves, with the Absolare amps, waiting for Nelson. I have two Goldmund active subs connected as well. It's quite an impressive system. It "floats the music" as a good SET should do if allowed to do so with the proper efficiency, which the Waves have.

Btw, the Waves can play spread VERY far apart, just like the Raidhos. I have the Waves on the outside of the D3's and they work great in this position.

Im not sure how I like the look of this yet. Lol!!! Sound is most important and I'm sure they look different in person. I gotta hear these!!!!

Im sure. I hope they sound stupendous because to my eye-just not my cup of tea. almost looks like balsa wood. I much prefer clean black or beautiful filligre in the wood. Lets hope other woods r available.

They come in walnut, cherry or maple (shown).

Their website shows a Spruce/Walnut version also.

Ok I like those better!! I think darker is better on those. I'm sure that front panel wood has something to do with the sound with those waves carved in it.
Ok I'll be there next week . Lmao!!!!

Ok Bob how am I going to do this. I want to hear the d1's with my snappers.
I want to hear the absolares with my table (when it gets here)and phonostage.
And I'd love to hear the absolares with the veneres I have coming.
That's my whole system . Lmao!!!!!!! I gonna have to make a few trips and drive instead of the train.
The absolares intrigue me and I think I would love to own a pair someday.

Steve, if you're driving when I come to visit just bring them with. I can help you bring them in to Bob's and then I'll hold them for you at my hotel while they cool down. Do you think they'll fly okay as is or will I need to buy extra suitcases?

The good part is that Steve and Doug are making another visit in about a month. I'm not going to say anymore, but I will let Steve and Doug give their report after hearing the true SET magic that the Absolare set up is capable of.....trust me (you always trust sales guys, right:snicker: it's here now.....as a matter of fact Joe, get on the train and come back:)....it would be worth the trip!

I heard them at the Zurich show last year and didnt LOVE them.

OMG !!! OMG!!!
I love this speakers and Absolare combination.
They sound incredible good and don't need a subwoofer.
I think ribbon tweeter is the next upgrade.
This wave40 did everything the D3 does and some. They are not as beautiful as the Rhaidos but Man, I love how
They sound. I'm very impressed
I will upload a video I made with a Patricia Barber song
Joe and Steve, you should hear them before you make a speaker decision
THEY SOUND NICE and they can go low without no you now what, aha hahahahhah
