Mind if we drop a few names?
When you're sitting in front of the best pastrami sandwich in the world, you gotta concentrate on the food. We understand and respect that. But when you're done noshin', take a tour around the place and check out our photo gallery. It reads like a who's who in culture, sports and entertainment—Barbra Streisand, Kathleen Turner, Bruno Kirby, Bruce Willis, Dan Aykroyd. And let's not forget our political guests. Four U.S. presidents have enjoyed Katz's hospitality, Vice President Al Gore brought the Russian Prime Minister Viktor Chernomyrdin to lunch, and most of the hotshots on New York's political scene have eaten here.
Katz's Deli is no stranger to the silver screen either. Remember that scene in When Harry Met Sally where Meg Ryan was, uh, faking it? Yeah, that was at Katz's. (And we're not so sure she was really acting. If you've had our brisket, you catch our drift.) Or how about when Johnny Depp meets up with his FBI contact in Donnie Brasco? Katz's again.
You can check out a few snapshots here on the site, but to see the full collection, you gotta come in and eat.

Very cool Steve, thanx for the history course, and lynx (cat's food?). ;)

P.S. I didn't reply to your last PM because the answer was provided right here in this thread.

Yes Steve, you have it correct. For those that want to come next week, then in November and then whenever the heck they want to.....let's just do it like that.....continuous AS meetings.

Bob,

Just pass the hat when AS members show up. All that electricity, tube life draining and room cooling must take its toll on the overhead. :)

Btw, I've sent off an email to Lars (Mike, I'm sure that you have as well) regarding the "bass upgrade kit". If Lars doesn't respond directly here, I will when I find out what Kiwi is talking about. Maybe I'm the only Raidho dealer that never heard of the "bass upgrade kit", but we should have a clear answer in the next day or so.....should be interesting. Thx Kiwi for updating us on "the kit".

I believe you. I will be there and would love to come back. I'll figure out what works best for you. Maybe we can get another 1 or 2 members to show up.

Joe....we need to work it out. I'm so sad I missed this visit. You need to fill me in. Maybe tomorrow night?

Bruce

Bob, I was just kidding, I just love Katz Deli !!!!! It is amazing :woot:

Mark, I know some great vegan restaurants, just in case. :doubtful:
I'll try to give you a call tomorrow.
Bruce

I can't believe it but the SoundKaos Wave 40's showed up today from Switzerland.6moons audioreviews: Soundkaos Wave 40 Yesterday we never even got close to hearing what the Absolare amps sounded like. On the Wave speakers, that are 93db and feel more like 100db....I'm running the volume control at 9 o'clock vs. 4 o'clock when driving the D3's. The 52 Watt SET's would be great in a small to medium room, but not in a large room like my current room.

I can't wait to hear these. This is the type of speaker those Absolares need to drive. I like their looks too.

I am sitting here now listening to the Waves, with the Absolare amps, waiting for Nelson. I have two Goldmund active subs connected as well. It's quite an impressive system. It "floats the music" as a good SET should do if allowed to do so with the proper efficiency, which the Waves have.

Btw, the Waves can play spread VERY far apart, just like the Raidhos. I have the Waves on the outside of the D3's and they work great in this position.
