The integrated you have now will give you a taste of what is possible. Adding more watts to the equation will be much more fruitful in terms of the sound quality you're looking for. I'm sure Mark will lend you some more powerful 300b monos when you are ready. You might like the outcome enough to swap some of your other gear for them. Or just write a check, that works too! :)

Thank you guys... Maybe I am a KT88's guy :) I just love what I hear from 275 ( Oh...maybe its a synergy with Mc . Who knows ) This big 15" woofers easy to drive with. Have no problem with 12 or 8 watts and 75 Watts with Mc. As matter of fact currently I'm listening with 601's

Maybe I will stick with "BlueMcIntosh) LOL. Let's see if my user name changes in few weeks after I get audition with the Allnic mono's Hehe
 
It's all good Paul. You can't go wrong with any tubes in my book. :) Be sure to let us know how it goes with the mono's.

Oh man why not? I know you love your MC275's so if you found something that was even better that's a good thing right? Well maybe not for your bank account. ;) I'm sure Mark takes gently used Mc gear in on trade.

ive heard this nagra , was quite good!!! 20w i believe and played with an older pair of avantgardes. was a sweet sound and avantgardes are not my favorite.

Yes, that Nagra is a rare bird in the US. A local audiophile friend who loves integrateds said it was the best one he had ever owned (even vs his prior Vac 160i).
 
Still debating on whether to get them or not. I want something with balanced inputs.

im guessing vac doesnt have balanced?? what about that beast in your avatar?
 
Mike- you might check out morricab's comments on the 300B Vacs at the asylum- he picked up one recently and has had a ton of amps.

the retube cost on the monos would scare me away :)
