Where's all the Shindo owners?

I know, but I love ALL THINGS audio and want to keep discussions on track. Without face to face interaction, sometimes things get interpreted wrong.

We are better than that. I love all you guys, no matter what you listen to, it ALL GOOD!

I try. Lord knows I try. Sometimes it is just too hard to ignore.

No matter what? Many years back I listened to a bi-amped Shindo system for a fee months with Sinhonias driving giant JBL bass bins. I have some first hand experience with not using Shindo for the recommended purpose. :)

I keep thinking a td 124 would be a good little brother for my garrard 301.

Those are some series looking horns! How did it sound?

Amazing. I may have to settle for this though.

Woo--Looks good--yes I'm a big EMT fan--I used to strip them down from the bulky TSD body when I lived in Hamburg

Boy they have some slam and attack like virtually no other-well MC anyway --but not quite up to the Decca Sum and Diff in that dept

but without the quirks and foibles of the latter.

I listened to Shindo gear at dealer in NYC. Great shop and really knowledgeable nice dealer and staff with killer vinyl shop upstairs.

I thought shindo gear and speakers were beautiful pieces and would be the sort of gear that appreciates and doubles in value so good investment.

To my ears they sounded too thick and syrupy (but hey I owned Maggies at the time). I would bet shindo Aficianados have similar ears and tastes in wanting liquidity and zero edge or harshness to their music. They appreciate the flow and beauty of music. Master tape truth seekers being at other end of the spectrum.

Darrin, was the shop In Living Stereo? If so, I really would like to drop by there one day.

The emt has been a revelation! It is just right on all levels.

Have you compared it to the Benz Micro LP-S? I'm suspecting they would sound more similar than different?

I have--the EMT has more body especially on classical orchestra in my opinion--the Benz maybe slightly more Accutance( leading edge) to the notes.

Both great carts.
