Turntable Shopping - Need some opinion.

wow your quick, i just changed that today.lol. they are on the way from cali and my snappers will be packed up and gone tomorrow, :exciting: thanks for noticing!!

I own the Innovation, and think it's terrific. I've been told, by more than one dealer I trust, that you need to spend way more to hear any appreciable sonic difference. I think the next table up the CA line is the Master Innovation, which is $30,000. Basically twice as much.

Jeff Whitlock is the best person to ask for advice as he has this table, the AMG and many others, which I know he listens to all the time.

Here are links to some reviews:

The platter Jon; a big chunk of acrylic?

* Mark, what happened to your ex-avatar?

I believe the platter on the Innovation is made of polyoxymethylene, also known as Delrin or POM.

But I defer to Jeff on all things analog.

I went to Clearaudio's own website this past afternoon, and 100% of all their turntables (they have a big bunch of models)
seems to have an acrylic platter. It is not acrylic?

_____________

And even the review's link from whathifi.com that I quoted above (post #125) says that the platter is acrylic!
"... of the elegant acrylic platter, ..." --> Third paragraph.

_______

Perhaps this is an older review? Also their website too is an older website?
What is Clearaudio newest website?

EDIT: Alright, I found this one too, with two TTs out of eight (25%) having (what it seems to be) an acrylic platter.

Bob, why not call Germany and ask the manufacturer? I've found the Clearaudio people to be very helpful.

Alright Jon, I will call them (right there in Germany, their home turf). ...And report right here my experience and findings from that discussion. :)

I'm sure everyone is interested, including Paul.
