SR HFTs

I agree. It's a shame that unconscionable companies are subverting hyperimpressionable people who will buy anything based on ludicrous claims in the hopes of tweaking their system.

A real tweak produces a measurable and blind-testable change. Otherwise emotional insecurity that you're missing something takes over and you're just spending money on something that makes you feel better. You might just as well shine a flashlight on your tweeters to make a brighter sound or use yellow light bulbs for a warmer sound.

Isn't this the whole premise behind audio systems (and hobbies) in general?

Well where is YOUR data to dispute SR's claims? Until you present some, the rest is speculation and you and rich Davis' don't have a leg to fall on. Kinda like chicken little screaming the sky is falling.

It's cute that picked on one thing Enid said but she had a boatload of other ideas. Did you ever try playing with the cover on ARC gear then. She was right because they had some funky grounding (?). Put a lamp several feet away and over an SP8 and wave your hand between the top of the SP8 and the lamp and it would hum. Yes I did that. So what would you measure 20 + years ago? Reductionism btw doesn't work.

Moreso, did Enid Lumley's comment on making sure the AC cord plug is correctly oriented produce a measurable difference? At best, maybe now we could measure the change, yet we could all hear the effect.

What's the measurable change caused by listening in the dark? Or are we imagining that?

And there are many more examples.

All I know is if somebody says quantum I won't listen unless they can show me an equation, for one begets the other. And they'd better have it be an equation my math PhD friends can understand. If you use the language, you better be able to support it. Else its just hooey.

Maybe they have an effect? I'm just saying I would spend my hard earned dollars elsewhere.

Lot of opinions, without testing.
I actually do test.
Set up level 2 yesterday. No significant difference. I will try level 3 tomorrow.
I will also set up level 1 as a party-trick tomorrow evening. I will also bring the Synergistic Research XOT to the "party"
Have anyone tested them?
Any clairvoyant opinions?

The reason room treatment panels from reputable sources (Real Traps, Aurelex, GIK acoustics, SoundSense among others) are large and cover significant wall and ceiling area is because they can only affect sound waves that fall upon it.

These HFT thingies are the size of pencil erasers. You would need tens of thousands or more to have sufficient area of these to treat a room, and their miniature size would only be capable of treating extremely high frequencies.

Lots of opinions by people who haven't tried them? If you don't hear a difference, you can return them and not be out any money, 30 day return policy. Remember when Monster Cable hit the stores, how could cables make a difference? They spawned an entire industry. I will be trying some HFTs and a PEQ in May and I'll report back.

I know that you are just making some comparison, but it has nothing to do with the SR HFTs.

Still, we are freely allowed to have an opinion and express it; we live in a free speaking country.

Science and physics are usually based on concrete and serious analysis. ...Not always infallible though. ...Just look at pharmaceutical experimental development and manufacturing! ...As only one example.

I quoted the right person Doug. :) ...Isn't it one of the goals in life to be accurate as we can be and happy?

I love you and always will.

P.S. Things are not always the way they appear. ...Good to go back few posts and get the 'surf'.

Me too,
I'm open mind and is 100% back money guarantee
Win win

So we can just scream fire too?

I think this thread has run its course and well off the tracks. Let's keep it on the products and experiences with them.

I would think that the quantum world would have little effect on sound.
