Gee, after stumbling into this thread I had to double check I wasn't reading WBF.
LMAO! They work, they don't work, whatever. Pour a strong drink, put on some tunes and relax!

I agree. It's a shame that unconscionable companies are subverting hyperimpressionable people who will buy anything based on ludicrous claims in the hopes of tweaking their system.
A real tweak produces a measurable and blind-testable change. Otherwise emotional insecurity that you're missing something takes over and you're just spending money on something that makes you feel better. You might just as well shine a flashlight on your tweeters to make a brighter sound or use yellow light bulbs for a warmer sound.
Isn't this the whole premise behind audio systems (and hobbies) in general?
By spending more money in the hope of making us feel better? ...That's one way to look at it.
I just ordered two sets on the Free Trial. Can't lose.
I do have one concern regarding installation when they arrive. According to SR's installation guidelines several of the units will be installed between my GIK Art Panels. I am wondering if the units sitting between 1 1/2" deep panels will limit any of their supposed benefits.
In the first pack of 5 the only problem location will be the one centered between my speakers. That location is between to art panels about 5"-6" inches apart. I will have a slight problem with three locations with the second set of 5. The two side wall and the location behind my seating position could also be impacted by panels. We shall see.

You position them around the room. Some on your speakers, some on the walls. They are passive devices. No power to them, no electronic output, no WiFi, NOTHING.
The reason room treatment panels from reputable sources (Real Traps, Aurelex, GIK acoustics, SoundSense among others) are large and cover significant wall and ceiling area is because they can only affect sound waves that fall upon it.
These HFT thingies are the size of pencil erasers. You would need tens of thousands or more to have sufficient area of these to treat a room, and their miniature size would only be capable of treating extremely high frequencies.
I ordered two packages of the HFT gizmos. Late yesterday I installed the first package (5 pieces). As suggested I placed one on the front wall between the speakers, one on each side wall approximately at the first reflection point, One a the ceiling about 1/2 way between my speakers and my seating position and the last one about one foot above behind my head on the wall behind my seated position.
I plan on leaving them as is for a period before removing them to see if I hear any differences. My initial thoughts are that there appears to be a ever so slight more relaxed nature to the sound.
I am not ready to make any judgements either way. Within the last day I had some work done on my electrical service when I had a whole house back-up generator connected which necessitated some rewiring (removing the sub-panel for my ad-hoc unit) and making my main box a sub-panel. I am also back to my Momentum's and Ayre unit after auditioning the Momentum Integrated.
Jim, Are you combing the HFT's with the FEQ to achieve the "activation" by RF pulses emitted by the FEQs?
Also, did your electrician lay new grounding rods for the generator panel? Normally they do (at least they did for mine) and this can reduce noise floor.
