We have a 1973 Demerara Rum (Guyana I believe?)...whoa...beautiful but expensive. We just got a Ron Zacapa Sistera Solera 23 this weekend...also very nice. Also expensive. But for the money and even setting money aside, we really really enjoy Kraken spiced rum. Very very nice on a cold winter's day for Sat eve after dinner.Who like Domincan RUM?
Drinking and Music is a wonderful combination
ZACAPA 23 is a good rum, I drink it a lot here
Im going to bring one made here and is very good.
We are going to get banned if we continue derailing the tread, hahahahaAlright...since we're on the topic...if we like Kraken, 30-yr Demerara Rum and also the Zacapa 23...what do you recommend as a blow-you-away-good rum? Purely quality, not about price. Hopefully, it aint gonna break the bank! And sometimes, the best things are not the most expensive, and then its really special. I actually find Kraken far less refined...but boy oh so tasty that for 1/4the price of Demerara 30-yr...its darned nice.
We are going to get banned if we continue derailing the tread, hahahaha
But if you like to drink Rum only ( No Ice) I recommend you the Zacapa XO.
Now you guys are talkin'......bring as much as you can carry.....we'll have a ball.
That's gonna be some party! Pity I cant make it.
Maybe we can meet up next time you pass thru Geneva Bob!
Bob,
Thanks for the non-update updates. It's nice to get multiple points of view regarding the Raidho speakers. It seems like these require some novel thinking and an open mind.

Mini update on the D3's- Not going to go into any detail as whatever things are sounding like today will be replaced with what things sound like tomorrow. My experience has been that the D3's were one speaker on Friday, another speaker on Saturday and now today they have evolved even further. All three days, they sounded literally like different speakers.
It will be interesting to see when they sound the same for two days in a row.....
Btw, I literally break in maybe 20 or 30 sets of speakers a year, it comes with the territory. But for some reason these D3's have totally sent me into a tizzy....a good tizzy, but a tizzy nonetheless, which I can't remember that happening to me, maybe since I was breaking in Trios with four basshorns, 15 years ago, that was fun. I remember that sending me into a tizzy:exciting:
Bob, your enthusiasm is infectious! Keep the posts coming!:woot:
