Thx all......what a yo-yo I am. I get the D3's yesterday and I had the nerve to be making all of the comments that I have made. The D3's have only 24 hours on them, I have no idea what they sound like. They are now sounding great with my Goldmund amp. They need to break in before I even think about anything regarding what they sound like. I am sitting listening to the D3's with all SS on them and oh boy....they are changing a little every 12 hours so far. Tonight they started to "open up"......hold on, I'm on a bronking bull.

Will do, I now realize that I need at least 250 hours on the speakers- in another week or two and then I will have a better idea of what's going on. A lot of times it takes me six months to get a pair of speakers settled into an environment. Especially prodigious bass speakers without a bass volume control. All kinds of ways to skin the cat, but for now, I'm just listening and enjoying the transformation right before my ears:woot:
 
Sounds like fun!! And it keeps getting better and better!!! Gotta love it
