Jolida - Fusion 3502 tube integrated amp ...

I'm with Doug and Norman, if the EL-34 will drive what you need it to stick with it. Of the tubes that amp will run it will be the most similar to the LM.

It has plenty of power. I was itching for EL-34 again. I'll let it settle down before making final judgement. It a tad bright on top but is way better now with a little time on it.

That's great Joe. A nice little Christmas present with its own bright lights!

Oh yes. I'll post a photo soon.

12AX7 driver tubes? Yes, some nice Phillips MW deltas our Tungsram or the US Groove tubes (Mullards clones) should do niceley.

There may be few PMW deltas left in the Barn, a quad or so. Should I go looking in the new year? Used, so no strength guarnatees, but cheap, so….

No 12AT7 (ECC81) left, AFAIK.

Hi Joe,

Nice amp to play with!

RE: the 12ax7 drivers, you might try some NOS 5751's in that role too. They can be really nice in lieu of the 12ax7 depending.

I'd take a chance, sure.

Thanks Mike.

For under $1700 delivered, this amp is outstanding. She's opening up and smoothing out. Just incredible with tons of bass. Amazing.

Just read this thread. Congrats, Joe! Sounds like you found another winner!:audiophile:

Thanks Allen. I can't believe what I am hearing. This amp, a modest pair of speakers and a decent source makes a wonderful system.

Absolutely Joe. Something like this or a similar LM amp and a pair of small Harbeths would make a great system. Of course some guys around here might use it as a nice little bathroom set up. :b

Hi Joe,

Looks like a cool new addition to the stable. How does the built quality and sound compare to the Rogue audio gear you have had in the past? They seem to be in the same price range. Merry Christmas

John

Hi John,

It has been a while since I had Rogue but I think the build of the Rogue might be better. From memory, this amp seems a little sweeter, probably because of the tubes. My volume knob drags a little on the faceplate and is okay for manual adjustments. I had to pull it out a few millimeters so it did not touch the faceplate to allow the remote control volume adjustment to work. That was not a big deal but otherwise, this amp is outstanding. I still want to get/hear the Rogue Stereo 100 and a Primaluna HP, but they are twice the price.

Mark has the Rogue stereo 100 in stock and some other new toys I'm going to listen to next week. I'm seriously contemplating picking up a Primaluna Dialogue HP integrated or the Primaluna DiaLogue Premium Preamp before the price increase, I can't makeup my mine which way to go.

Do you already have an amp? If so, what?
