JOB 225 2-channel Power Amplifier ... update ...

It is very nice when you get a piece of gear and it lives up to your expectations, especially when you are expecting a lot.

So what I am about to admit to is beyond embarrassing, but I must do it anyway. I didn't have my dac outputs
sending the signals to the right speaker, so horror upon horror was I listening to mono part of the time. Well my
MSB buddy helped me sort it out and all I can say is, MY GOD, WHAT HAD I DONE, WHAT DID I DO because I wasn't
actually listening to both channels seemingly and now it's all there, all there, like where did those instruments emerge
from in the back of the sound stage, I've never heard them before, or there friends, It's like magic and voodoo all at once.
Needless to say, I am beyond flabergasted and felt compelled to own up to my blunder, stupid, stupid, stupid. But the textures and staging are superb. I am now getting networked up and may have some help getting my cable into the hands
of the top reviewers. If they say what I think they are going to say, wow, a non inductive cable with virtually no capacitance that deals with skin effect that you can't see with the naked eye. The first real white paper in 20 years to say what they really diid, that is what I plan to do. The end of audiophile angst and regret is at hand. No more the brain saying that what is hears is wrong, I must buy a new piece of gear to correct the sound, maybe less divorces, less bankruptcies , this hobby can be a cruel mistress, but the end is near, me thinks, I hope everyone thinks kind thoughts because what I say is true. Maybe I'll bring gauge down to 56 because it's covered in my patent as well. A one pound spool of 56 gauge wire has 263 miles on it or 1,283,000 feet to be exact. It took me 3 years to learn how to make what I couldn't see.
But there is no excuse for not hooking your stereo to the correct speakers, stupid , stupid, stupid, a good laugh at my expense

Wow, those cables must have truly outstanding spatial performance if you couldn't tell that you were listening to only one channel! ;) I do have to give you credit though for stepping up and admitting your mistake on a public forum.

I am going to market my cables as the cable that somebody suggested 25 years ago would make the ultimate cable and I
may have taken it a bit beyond that. in the 1980's it was speculated that if someone used an ultra fine wire (didn't mention configuration ) It would eliminate skin effect factor in sound deterioration . Skin effect is the nature of higher frequencies traveling closer to the surface of the wire creating non linear signal transmission . I talked to a famous cable builder today and he was a bit miffed that I am using wires way smaller than he did because the wires I use are just about invisible unless light reflects on the enamel coating which by the way means there is no degradation of the sound because non of the wires are exposed to oxygen. It took me 3 years to figure out how to take this wire off of a spool on to a special wheel I designed for this purpose, so being ocd does have it's benefits. I also listened to about 25 different gauges of wire in this process meaning two sets of interconnect and one speaker cable for every gauge. So this will be an almost completely non inductive, super low capacitance cable that eliminates skin effect. My wire is .00095 inches in diameter and the smallest I've used is .00049 which I may add since it's also covered by my patent. Basically it has shown to do virtually nothing in the signal path to alter the signal tested by many people versed in advanced electronics. Biggest thing is probably the linearity with frequency and on another forum I was laughed at and people made fun of me before I was banned, I believe joeinid was witness to the debacle. I've decide to finally find a strategic partner to get this stuff reviewed. I don't have the capital to advertise in highend magazines but once people actually try it, it may create a huge buzz on its own and my description of what I believe it does will foster a lot of believers plus word of mouth. I've been hiding out all these years for no good reason. Although I am not a scientist ( I consider myself a gifted listener ) I have had a number of scientists say there is really good science behind what I have made.

Bandor, it was me who witnessed the distress you suffered at the other forum.

Doesn't anyone here see something wrong with this? Did anyone read his patent that he didn't want anyone to see that Amir found and posted?

How do you know it's super low capacitance and inductive? I don't remember you measuring your cable's electrical properties nor was it mentioned in your patent. Just how low is low? There are other low inductance/capacitance cables; how does yours compare/ft. to theres? Can't be none, only less than a given value. Remember theory doesn't always translate and one can certainly have an unanticipated interaction.

I also wonder, given the conductor's small diameter, about the cable's fragility given it might be twisted, bent and stepped upon?

I didn't care that anyone found my patent, I was distressed because I was being TREATED RUDELY by some smirk behind the sanctity of his keyboard, if I recall correctly some people demanded samples?

by some smirk behind the sanctity of his keyboard, if I recall correctly some people demanded samples? Myles I'm beginning to take offense at your attitude, I will be bringing this to market soon.
You are commenting on something you obviously know nothing about. Everyone who has heard this cable is taken aback by its absolute transparency and seeming ability to do nothing in the signal path.
You are addressing me in what I consider rude fashion. Myles what do you guess the effect of an audio signal going down a wire that is too small to be seen? I'm guessing you can't comprehend it, just play the devils advocate.

Oh my what have we here a cable thread? Bender stop now. This is about the Job 225!! Not your cable stuff. The whole cable hype is outdated and old and worn out.

Yea so I just install SilverSmith Palladium IC/SC's and Blah blah blah the most Blah blah blah who the heck cares about my cable revelation on the Job 225 thread!!

You can't figure out mono / stereo sound? Get out of this hobby and take up ballet dancing.

Rude you are to get your home made junk cable on this thread. Wow audio dudes are sure strange cats yes. Me included.

Based on what happened on WBF when Bandor tried to entice people to want his cables and given the history of his endeavors and how over all of these years those endeavors have led nowhere, I predict these cables will never be commercially produced and sold. I invite everyone here who hasn't already read the thread on WBF to go over there and read it: http://www.whatsbestforum.com/showt...-a-sine-wave-travel-its-path&highlight=bandor Lots of name dropping and supposed fortunes lost over paranoia, but no real product and no real sales. If you understand anything about electronics and can smell something that is not quite right (I put that as politely as I could), go read his patent and report back with your thoughts. One of the principals of Shunyata called his bluff and asked to have samples sent and told him they would license and sell his product if it was as good as he thinks it is. Most people would have done double back flips over having someone in the industry with a successful track record and a proven distribution chain offering to partner with them and bring their product to market. This has now been reduced to "some people demanded samples." If you read the thread, paranoia rules Bandor's world.

In any event, an infomercial about Bandor's cables has no place on a thread about the JOB amp. He is just using this thread as a marketing opportunity for something that will never be marketed and sold. I hate to say it, but I think it's hilarious that someone who wants to impress this forum with their deep knowledge and understanding of how to make great cables can't even wire up their home stereo correctly. I find it telling.

Guys, this has been a friendly and informative thread for over 9 months and 94 pages. How about we keep the crap from WBF over there and move on. If you guys want to argue about cables, do it somewhere else as I am not aware JOB sells them so this is not the thread for it.

Well said. Everyone has been civil, but let's get back to discussing the JOB225, preamp pairings, etc.

I know some discussion had been had around the power cable for the JOB. I just love the sweet cord! I want to get a couple for my other amps and stuff.

So after complete burn in of amp/Sweetcord I find that the SC AC cable does work very well with the Job amp. The AM fuse added so weight Dimension and just a better overall sound to the sound. To bad the AM fuse died today for no good reason.

Looking for someone to do some upgrades to the Job. The local guy yelled at me when I told him what I wanted to do and would have nothing to do with it all. Seems like everyone is in Cal. and us east coast guys are locked out from all the fun.

I wanted to mention that I added comments on my background and the 20,000 feet of my cable already used by a dealer in california, details in cable forum.
I once again want to say I am sorry for the distractions I created over here, I never could have believed that I would pull the trigger and buy an amp based upon limited forum comments, but I'm just happy my instincts were good on this.

bandor

This thread has been about the amp itself. When Joe wanted to talk about fuses he started a new thread. Same thing when there were questions about Preamp/DAC pairings, separate thread. As Mike said there has been discussion about the power cables in this thread as JOB sells one marketed with the amp. I don't own one and have been perfectly happy with either an Audio Magic Sorcerer or a Blue Circle BC-61. May try the Pangea that Rob was raving about in another thread though.

If it ain't broke why fix it? :skeptical:
