JOB 225 2-channel Power Amplifier ... update ...

I was having volume output issues and my old oppo dvp-983 was having isssues (noises) and I replaced it with an Oppo BDP-83 and everything changed, it was like listening to a new system. Maybe some of my output settings were messed up but all of the dynamics, sound staging and everything else that was lacking came back, didn't sound like the same system. It was suggested to
me that a blu ray player would sound better and I must have surely messed something up before, I believe it is now set to bitstream at 192k and all I can say is wow. I read some of the previous posts of people waiting for dual mono amps, why, why why is all I can say
 
I have a pal in Boston who is set to tri-amp his Emerald Physics/Spatial Computing system with 3 Job amps.

Hi,

FYI - I just saw an ad in AudiogoN for a new "Platinum Reference" fuse from Audio Horizons and the ad included a rave from 10 Audio. It is pricey, $115-$135 and no mention of a trial period. BTW - I have been using the Synergistic for about 2 weeks and I would tend to agree with Jerry's findings.

Got the little guy up and running. Very nice amp.

Need to do some mods to it.

The Sweetpee AC sucked so I installed my Stage 3 Vortex Prime and that worked out just fine.

Potential to be a great sounding amp. What size fuse value goes in the tray? I know it's been said but it will save me time trying to find the spot on the thread.

Thank you to guitardave for the smooth transaction. Also to Norm/Joe for their plug on this guy.

How many hours to break in?? This amp has 10 hours plus my 4 hours so ....
 
100 hours…to break in.

Are you using a Power conditioner???

If you are, that could be your problem right there with the sweet cord!!!!Try it direct to the AC outlet.

If you still dont like it, I have 2 people interested in buying it off you…in Tx and in Mass. Lemme know!

So what is the big change from 15 to 100 hours.

Anyone else have the Sweetpee AC cable and if so what do you think of it?

I agree on the 100 break-in time and I recommend not doing any tweaks to the amp until it is fully run in, so you can at least establish a baseline. The fuse value is 4 amp slo-blow. I use a Cerious Technologies power cord (another great value product!) from the Job to an UberBuss PLC. The soundstage will open up and vocals will become more prominent as the amp breaks in.
