I never would have thought the Banjo and Erh-hu would complement each other so well!:audiophile:

I was sent a link to the Hungarian Bubble Sort, and after getting off the floor realized I knew the specific region where the music came from, the Wash area of Transylvania in Romania. Sure enough, there were demonstrations of 'sorts' by the various ethnic group's dance and music, German (Sheklers), Hungarians, Romanians, & Gypsies. I was on a 'Folkloric Dance' tour of Transylvania, and other parts of Romania in 1978

On a less mathematical note, I'd recommend
Balkan Beat Box
Slavic Soul Party
3 Mustaphas 3

That is cool; it reminds me of all the traditional folklore music in the whole world, including Quebec and Ireland, and for generations and generations and still going strong in all four world's corners. cool:

I also love Gypsy music, from Spain, Argentina, ...

A recent find. Great, eclectic music featuring the Chinese Pipa:

Wu Man: Wu Man & Friends

Vlad, I like the video sample!:audiophile: Thanks for sharing!

Try this one from another Wu Man album. It's a fun tune.

Wasn't expecting a didgeridoo and big drumming to follow the fun melody of the Chinese pipa but then again the title is Dancing. :woot:

Here is something from my neck of the woods. A tune played by the virtuoso Dragan Dautovski on a 6000 years old ocarina (globular flute) excavated in Macedonia.
