We need to make a Riot on AudioShark until Mike changes His mind

We need you man !!!! , You are our president

Will not be same without you

Ok, I'm not going, I'm staying in DR .......

:(

Am I the only one who uses a picture of himself (and wifey) in his avatar? Did I miss the avatar as alter-ego lecture?

(No offense intended to those who use scantily clad super-models. For you I wish the avatar was full motion video!)

I use my own picture too (bet you guys didn't know that - suprise!).

I'm planning on stopping by Myles first on Saturday (@1-1:30PM) before we head down to you Bob. TriodePete has backed out (family obligations). I'm definitely up for a dinner somewhere on Saturday.

Upgraded D3's are singing away. I think of them as D4's now:)...totally new speaker imho. I am driving them with Goldmund Telos 250 amps that are the smallest Goldmund mono amps, 300 watts into 8 ohms, and the new Goldmund pricing for US products, which is really reasonable now, for the Telos 250's is $26K/pair. I am using the Absolare tube pre with the T250's on the D3's with all Ansuz Diamond cabling and Mainz D's. Will let everyone give their own opinion after the "party".

Have the S3's and S5's ready to go with the same electronics as well.

It's going to be fun.

I agree. The updated D3s are more like a D4.

My flight lands at 3:30 tomorrow afternoon, so I'll probably get there around 5:30. I'm staying at the Wyndham close by.

Can't wait for you (and all) to be here Jock....travel safely!

My business plans sort of fell through today, so I had an afternoon free. Miles was most gracious to invite me to hear recordings from his awesome analog collection, which included some very obscure reel-reel tapes,:coolyeah: and the new direct drive VPI turntable with 3D printed tonearm.

A very pleasurable afternoon for this NYC (almost) rookie. (Only my second time here.)

Miles = Analog Guru. Thank you Miles.:)

After, I had a nice long walk from the upper east side back to the hotel next to Bob's Rhapsody. Something I wouldn't have done if my wife was with me -- the streets of Manhattan are a far cry from the quiet peaceful calm of the Oregon countryside. This is all a little out of character for me, as I'm not much of a city person. Still, I can understand the allure. I passed one real estate shop with some listings in the window: $1.5 million for a 1 bedroom, 700 sq ft condo. Yikes! (And in the hotel where I am, the entire bathroom is smaller than the shower in the master suite of my house. Bigger than in Paris though!)

I'm looking forward to meeting other sharks tomorrow.

Thanks Bob, great meeting you and having you by! You have a standing invite any time you're in town.

BTW guys, it was five hours or so worth of analog! :) Does that fall into the category of UltraAnalog? ;)

Bob/Myles,

Sounds like a great start to a fun weekend ahead! Look forward to meeting everyone there!:exciting:
