I see Bob has the Kondo Kagura amp so, if possible, would REALLY love to get some feedback on them either with D3 or S5 etc. No worries if it doesn't suit. Many thanks.

I will let other give their opinion, the Kagura with the D3's is not a good match in a huge dampened room with 15 people in the room. We are listening in a 17' X 35' X 11' room and listening to VERY dynamic tracks so the D3's with the Kagura is not a good fit for this situation.

The Kagura are really more suited to drive more efficient speaker than the D3's other than in small to medium sized rooms.

When you give the D3's more power, like with the Goldmund amps then the D3's exhibit a "different" presentation than with the Kagura. I believe at this point it becomes personal preference. I would personally choose the Goldmund amp/D3 combination every time in a large dampened room.

We will be playing the Kagura on the S5 tomorrow.

Allen was listening to the D3's with the Goldmund amps driving them (small Goldmund monos/$26K pair) and the Absolare pre, with all Ansuz Diamond cables and power distribution, when he made his above comment. This configuration works pretty well.

Anyone else can embellish their impressions....
