Get together at Bob's Rhapsody

Nice Bob that's kinda what I was saying about the absolares driving the raidhos in your big room. They just don't all work together. And it's not fair to ask them to.
With that said , I need to be hearing some more of what we heard tuesday and I bet the 100w snappers with be real nice on MY d1's lmao!!!!! , I bet those wave40's are breaking in nicely :)

The pair of Waves that I received are already broken in...THANK GOD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Bring those Snappers up here and let's play:exciting:

If you are ever in N Texas let me know and we will get something arranged. :)

I love to get different opinions and comments. There are always things / ways to improve a system that other people see.

Bob,

You are 100% correct. The Raidho play so clear and clean, they beg to be turned up. I don't play at the volumes we were playing on Tuesday so I'd be golden. For me, the 52 wpc Absolares would be enough. I just can not believe how great everything sounded.

Joe, you and me both. I've been listening to the D3's for the last few weeks now with the Absolare electronics. I listen a lot to that cd that Jerry brought from St. Louis. Btw, I called him yesterday asking for the playlist, but have not heard back yet. Anyway, I listen to all the songs both on that cd and other similar type cds. I also listen to full classical ie. Arnold's Overtures and then a lot of piano, violin, cello/trios and for me personally I NEVER drive the D3's beyond their comfort level. And I play them at the level that I like to listen at. Lately I have been checking the db meter when I feel like I am at a volume that I am 100% comfortable with and would NEVER turn the system up louder. Usually I am right around 90db with peaks of 95db. That is in my space. In a smaller, non dampened room, which mine definitely is, it would take much less power and drive to get the D3's to the same db level. The sound that I get with the Absolare amps on the D3's is pretty heavenly....again, for me. I really think that ANY good 50 Watt + tube amp would sound incredible with the D3's....I would LOVE to hear your CJ's on the D3's....I bet that it would be crazy good, probably even in a very large room!

Hi Bob,

I'd be willing to bring my CJ gear in on a quiet Sat or Sun for your listening pleasure. Having the parking garage so close is a bonus and now that I know the layout, we'll need to make it happen.

On the weekend you can park literally right in front of the building and load onto a cart that I have. It is really easy on the weekends for moving in and out. If you can get them in your car and then drive em' in once you get here it's really easy. I think it really would be fun, if you ever get the urge, I am always up for it. I would bet that we would be in awe. I also think that Steve's Snappers would also hit the "awe" level on the meter.

I'll look into some travel cases for my amps and see what I come up with for transporting them.

My first post here. Saw in the pictures a pair of Goldmund speakers in the room of the get together, but no one mentioned them yet, wondering did you guys had time to compare it to the Raidho or other speakers?

I really want to hear them, but to me, and I drag amps around all the time....amps that weigh 200+lbs......it's CRAZY to take your beautiful Art amps anywhere....to me, it's not right. But let's discuss....I don't mind moving whatever/whenever BUT if I do NOT have to move something I don't. Every time something is moved there is always the chance of even some little thing happening. Again, for me not worth the risk, unless it's necessary.

Welcome to the forum siitech!

The Golmund speaker were crazy good. If my budget was unlimited, I'd have a hard time picking and choosing. But since I can't afford them, the Goldmund gear (speakers and electronics) is just outstanding.
