Get together at Bob's Rhapsody

I want to say something but I am actually overwhelmed on how fun and cool everyone and everything was today. In 8 hours I don't think we had one 5 second lull. It was really a special experience meeting everyone today. Thank you all for making the trip, I am humbled by the experience.....thank you:disbelief:

Bob, thank you very much for hosting this event! You were the perfect host. You have a great shop with FANTASTIC gear. It was a blast swapping amps, speakers, sources, and zapping the MC cart and immediately hearing the difference!

It was an honor and pleasure meeting all you Sharks! Someone mentioned that when they meet someone from the forum in person, their online personality doesn't match their live personality. I have to say, that wasn't the case here. Great people online, even better in people in person!

Nelson, thank you very much for that raffle. Will come in handy when I get a TT!:P

Allen....that was amazing how you won the raffle, you picked two numbers out of the air and they were the "daily double".....Nice win!!! And great to meet you....thx for coming.

Glad everyone had a good time. Looking forward to read more about what folks liked and heard, etc...!

I got a decently long train ride home . So ill type a few things . Was a great day got to meet everyone. Beautiful day to sit inside and listen to some seriously fine gear!!
We found that the c1.1 is by far the best value to performance of the bunch.
The d1's gave a little something the c1.1's didn't but was it worth the extra $$.
Maybe to some but not to me. I was sitting 4-5 ft from the speakers and they were like 10-12 ft apart. And the soundstage was enormous and awesome on all 3 pairs of speakers .yes I said just 4 to 5 feet.
Sounds behind me , from the far corners of the room. All over like nothing I've personally ever heard. The absolares are down right gorgeous amps and pics don't do them any justice. Big thick and beefy. But in the big room with real high ceilings and 6 or 7 people listening from different spots .I think asking the 54w set's to drive those d3 was asking a lot .
The goldmund amp was off the hook good!!! And with the absolare pre driving it was as good as it gets. And I'm not a solid state guy. This combo was very good and since I've been shopping for a good stereo amp to sit in the middle of my snappers just to have something different. These are definitely a great option. Although everyone who heard them mentioned that the job amp is very close at 1/10th the price if they work out some issues.
I m saying the c1.1 and the goldmund amp and the smooth absolare preamp were my stars of the day. Beside Nelson !!! A true gentleman and pretty much took care of everything from music selection to cleaning and demagnatizing cartridges. And we headed for a few drinks after everyone left .
Bob was a wonderful host and a great guy and let us listen to everything including what I'm sure is a $1/2 mill setup at least.
Everyone was great!!! It was just awesome to meet Joe, Mike, Barry, Allen, Nelson , Bob and the other guy who's name I forgot call him Bobs friend.
Thanks guys for a great day. I met friends for life today!!!

Help!
i am being held hostage at Rhapsody! I M trapped between four 800 lb Goldmond amps!

Haha, get it right, Barry! They weren't amps, they were the subwoofers!

Haha, his name is Barry (Lefisc), Steve.:peace:

Lol I got barry it was the other guy, the reviewer, he told me his name during lots of music

Wow!

What an awesome afternoon. Bob, thank you again for your hospitality. You could not have been any nicer. It was great to finally meet Mike, Nelson, Steve, Allen and Barry. Barry, thank you for driving and the great conversation. There was not an awkward moment or lull in conversation the whole day. All you guys are awesome!

The Raidho speakers were off the hook good. I love Goldmund, everything Goldmund, especially that model 280 amp. What a superb piece. I think it's better than some of the other amps I've had.

The reviewer was Key, this guy:

ASI Grand Stereo amplifier and Liveline Preamplifier

I thought the pic in the review was of the amp 'designer', but it's Key himself.

Wow!

That is actually a GREAT combo, it's the Goldmund Integrated with the C1.1's.....nice simple system that would sound great. The 390.5 integrated Goldmund - Telos 390.5 is basically a Telos 280 with a high level Goldmund preamp in a nice Swiss case.........for all you connoisseurs out there:)

Thank you guys for the wonderful day that we had.
Bob is my new friend from NY, pretty sure I will come back even for just to say Hi.
He is a wonderful pink hearted guy, thanks for everything.
Hope to see you tomorrow again, I want to hear those Goldmund subwoofer destroying the floors :)

Mike, if you can, upload the photo with Allen's price.

It's very gratifying to meet new people with the good sense of life and companionship.

Next trip : Dominican Republic.

Barry: you are cool guy don't change a bit

Steve: see you soon on the Jersey Shore !!

Allen : are you sure you want the TADs? :) hahahahhah

Did Joe ever came to the studio ? Who saw Him?
:D

Thank you again guys !
and hope we can do this at least once a year so we can keep in touch

Had a great time with you all day today.....come back soon.

Man everybody seems to have had a blast. I'm definitely bringing my overindulgent ass there the next time. Music, friends, drink and food. Not much more needed other than the fairer sex...although that would make for a longer trip :).

Now, I'm champing at the bit for viewpoints/impressions of the D3s and the various electronics that were paired with them. Lay it all down when you've all had some time to digest the trip.

I'm so jelly right now! (my assistant tells me that's short for jealous; kids these days and their lingo).
