Get together at Bob's Rhapsody

It was a Gibson not sure of the model though. All the guitars were spectacular all old and all acoustic. He had harp guitars and awesome old Martin d18 and several beautiful old nylon string guitars as well. As I said I will go there one day and play them all.
My favorite was the steel string Frog Bottom maybe if I buy some speakers he will lend me that for a month. Lmao!!!!

Steve, I will lend you the Froggy Bottom for a month even if you don't buy speakers.....seriously.

Nice guitars Bob. Be it guitars, bikes or audio gear the phrase "you can never have too many" comes to mind. I can't wait to visit next month. I'm already starting my music list!

Awesome Bob!! Being such a gracious host you'll see a lot of me.
And you friend Key was a real nice guy too. Let him know I'll be following his Stereotimes reviews.

Sounds like a great time. As I heard the D3 with all audionet and d1 with Rowland gear at CES I can echo but also caution that when they r set up wide and far from rear walls they really do create just an outstanding holographic wide and deep soundstage where the speakers just disappear. I think this has less to do with absolare vs goldmund vs. audionet or Rowland and more to do with proper set up of Raidho speakers. When I heard the d3 set up less wide and closer to rear wall and was not in a somewhat nearfield listening chair, the magic was gone to a great extent. Joe if you have the proper room to set up any of these Raidho speakers, I am sure all of your exisiting electronics will mimic what you heard. On the other hand if you can not set these up properly no equipment on earth with release the Raidhos magic soundstage.
Be good,

Nick

+1

It was really great to see Key enjoy the music. I could tell there were times he was getting into the music, like all of us were.

Thanks Nick. I'm reasonably sure I can place them properly but I might be just under the necessary requirements.

Doug, looking forward to meeting you! Hot sure about "you can never have too many" I was literally up to 50 guitars and for me it was too many. I have since "thinned the herd" and am down to about 10....quality vs. quantity. Again, looking forward to meeting you and having a listen.

Nick, could not agree with you more. I know that I could put on a Job225 with any of the Raidho's if they are spread far apart and if you drive the 225 within it's limitations you would get that magical soundstage. It's the Raidhos and their placement in the room that does it.

Joe, not a problem, we might have to take one or two walls down in your room to get the necessary room, but Steve is a contractor, so we are all set:)

Don't think that major reconstruction was not suggested before. Hmmmmmm. That would be something to consider, NOT!!!

Next time we are going to the "islands"......I want to go and see Nelson!!!

I can't believe it but the SoundKaos Wave 40's showed up today from Switzerland.6moons audioreviews: Soundkaos Wave 40 Yesterday we never even got close to hearing what the Absolare amps sounded like. On the Wave speakers, that are 93db and feel more like 100db....I'm running the volume control at 9 o'clock vs. 4 o'clock when driving the D3's. The 52 Watt SET's would be great in a small to medium room, but not in a large room like my current room.

The good part is that Steve and Doug are making another visit in about a month. I'm not going to say anymore, but I will let Steve and Doug give their report after hearing the true SET magic that the Absolare set up is capable of.....trust me (you always trust sales guys, right:snicker: it's here now.....as a matter of fact Joe, get on the train and come back:)....it would be worth the trip!

If you are around on weekends, I'll be there. I'd love to hear them.

Joe, it's worth the trip. It's totally different than what we heard yesterday, not that it wasn't good yesterday, it's just that this is an ENTIRELY different experience. I am always here on the weekends. Whenever you can come in just let me know and we'll do it. You can park on the the street in front of the building every other weekend, because they have cranes out there at 24th and 5th aves. every other weekend. Anyway, let me know anytime that works for you and we will figure it all out. Everyone else is welcome as well.....again, worth the trip....different experience.:audiophile:
