Get together at Bob's Rhapsody

bob there was this really cool little jazz club i was at several years ago. i believe it was within 2-3 blocks of you, and i been trying to think of the name and cant remember. any idea which one im talking about? was driving me crazy yesterday trying to remember.

"The Cutting Room" used to be right next door, but they closed about five years ago. Not many other clubs right around 24th....not now anyway.

It's early to find listings for those dates. I regularly hear live music in NYC. My favorite place is City Winery, a small club with living room atmosphere. For Jazz, I like going to Jazz Standard. Both clubs are intimate and you can have a decent meal and drinks during the show.

Just heard Grahm Nash and David Crosby at the City Winery a while back....very nice. It's a super venue.

I saw David Crosby there, too. Also Marc Cohen, Jackson Browne and Jennifer Nettles. I love that place. I have tickets for the upcoming Joan Osborne show, too.

That's right, it was just DC. It was another time when Graham was with him. I think that we mentioned the DC show here a few months back....good show.

:D Hey, I think this is going to work out! I've got a chiropractor out on Long Island that is one of my better dealers. I'm going to arrange to do a pure water & health lecture at his place, which will make this a business trip. Then I can hang with sharks Fri & Sat, groove to some tunes and drink wine with my new friends.:crackedout:

A large glass of water after each glass of wine. Sure, I have too pee more often, but the next morning I wake up a little less ornery. (Which wifey appreciates -- a lot!)

And for those with record cleaning machines, the water from one of my purifiers is equal to distilled. Typically zero parts per million total dissolved solids. Good for your vinyl, good for you too!

(Not wanting to get into the whole "you need minerals in your water debate.")

After each bottle of wine I like to clean my mouth with sparkling water, so the next one will be a new taste. Did I explained right? Oh my language limitation m urgghhhhh :(

Bob, I look forward to meeting you and sharing some good wine! Glad you can make it.

Now if we can only convince Paul to come... :snicker:

I understand Nelson, great idea. Even more important when sharing several bottles with friends as you may only get one glass before moving to something new.

Hey NY sharks, what is the easiest way into Manhattan? Flying from Portland what airport is easiest?

Also, can I rent a car for a day from my hotel, or am I going to need to score one elsewhere and do the shuttle dance?
