Color

Bob - I have no idea! I like so many of the colors. I saw the desert silver in person and it wasn't overly thrilling. Maybe a "wild" color would be better. Heck, I don't know.

Maybe another brand of speakers?

BTW, your room has tones of Brown (lighter and darker) and Black I believe, your amps are silver.
A Burgundy type of color would do, so a Beige type. ...And dark Navy Blue goes with everything.
And Desert Silver you don't like (but the color would also match in your room).
>>> Your room's picture is not the best (technically photographed) and it makes for a tougher recommendation from our perspective.

* I went to Art school, and not only I was one of the top in my classes but I was serious in my art.
One important aspect: Don't commit till you try it first (color wise), or be certain (and your wife too) that you're going to love it, with professional thought (interior matching decor) and decision behind it.
<<<>>> Sound first, and looks to match.

I see now that you have all the time in your life, so all is very good. :)

I would go with Desert Silver. That was the color of my Sashas. I have a dark brown hardwood floor (Wenge) and it was a perfect match.

Not only they will look good in your room, but will also be easily sellable.

Bugatti Blue!!

Is that your room, Etunes?! Of so, may I share your photo on Facebook? They would LOVE it! Lots of Bugatti Blue fans there ;)

When the folks at my dealer said they had some candy apple red Sashas that were available with light hours on them, I thought ugh!, really? Candy Apple Red? Then I saw them and the color was actually very pleasing, so I bought 'em. I tried a couple colors on the wall behind them, finally settling on a color Benjamin Moore recommended to compliment the main color of the walls in my listening room. They called the color "falcon brown" and seems similar to the shade you have on your walls. Red might not be too garish after all? IMHO

Those are stunning . I must admit I like the stand out colors.

Thanks for the kind words y'all.

I've not had much opportunity to listen for the last month or so, prepping the home for sale and working on the RELO to Portland. Wifey is there working already, in temp housing while I button things up around here. Sadly, what will be the music room in the new place will require a remodel of what is currently a nice space, set up as the theater room / man cave, complete with wet bar, wine cooler, and a projector. It is a decent room, about 16' x 28', but with some challenges re: doors, stairs, etc. After looking at 30+ houses I grew to appreciate what I was able to do in the bonus room of our current home. Bass trapping the corners made a huge difference, with tube traps stacked in front, and SpringTraps stacked in the rear. I've got some crap in the music room being staged for the move, but its going to get moved to another room tomorrow 'cause I'm having a serious jones to crank up some Stevie Ray, Van Morisson, and... Talking Heads!

A big +1 !!!!

Bob, not sure what remodel your new space need but sounds like it's off to a nice start already. 16x28 is a nice size, and because it was a former theater room, should provide a nice foundation for a listening room. Wet bar and wine cooler makes it perfect!!:P
