I would think the speakers you find the most "engaging" would go upstairs for more "serious" listening.
Good point.

:roflmao::roflmao:Go for an intense red color, this way I'll love them in my room in a couple of months.
Haha, but I think the problem is they are both really engaging speakers in their own unique way. The Raidho's SOTA 3D, seamless, coherent soundstage and Wilson's rich, vivid vocals coupled with SOTA dynamics and drive. Wow, I don't know which way I would go.I would think the speakers you find the most "engaging" would go upstairs for more "serious" listening.

Keep them both upstairs, Mike, and switch based on the music or the mood!
Don't forget to listen again to the Magico S5s. Listened to both today and lets just say - Alexia's are great speakers but they are still Wilson's.
Do the S series of Magico sound different from the Q and the older V and M series? I had heard the V, M and recently Q and was impressed but left me a little cold so I had assumed the S series share the same house sound. However the more I read about it sounds like the S series is different and less "analytical" then the rest of the Magico speakers.
The S series is more musical than any of the Q series, but still has the Magico sound. Something which is always hard to put your finger on. It's neither good nor bad, just different. That being said, the S1 and S5 represent tremendous values by comparison in hi end IMO.
I think that's what they consider desert silver. It a gorgeous color
I'm keeping them. I've been listening to them since March. My back can't take moving big speakers anymore.
The color used in that photo was a custom color specifically for the photo shoot of the Alexia's when we launched the product.
With the colors he has in that room, I think Macadamia would match really well. But if "matching" the walls isn't what he wants, you really can't go wrong with Desert Silver (my Sasha's and my WP 6's are Desert Silver). It is more of a beige than silver. Topaz is very close to this color as well. Would match the carpet more than the walls, so they would pop when up against the dark brown walls behind them.
I sure am disappointed that I'm not going to RMAF. I really wanted to meet Deb !!
Not too late to change your mind
+1. Life is too short....its worth the flight to Denver to see Debbie's smiling face!
