Color

Go for an intense red color, this way I'll love them in my room in a couple of months.
:roflmao::roflmao:

I would think the speakers you find the most "engaging" would go upstairs for more "serious" listening.
Haha, but I think the problem is they are both really engaging speakers in their own unique way. The Raidho's SOTA 3D, seamless, coherent soundstage and Wilson's rich, vivid vocals coupled with SOTA dynamics and drive. Wow, I don't know which way I would go.

Keep them both upstairs, Mike, and switch based on the music or the mood!:P

Well said. I am going to give the Alexia's a real big listen at RMAF with the VTL amps. Could be dangerous!

Don't forget to listen again to the Magico S5s. Listened to both today and lets just say - Alexia's are great speakers but they are still Wilson's.

Do the S series of Magico sound different from the Q and the older V and M series? I had heard the V, M and recently Q and was impressed but left me a little cold so I had assumed the S series share the same house sound. However the more I read about it sounds like the S series is different and less "analytical" then the rest of the Magico speakers.

The S series is more musical than any of the Q series, but still has the Magico sound. Something which is always hard to put your finger on. It's neither good nor bad, just different. That being said, the S1 and S5 represent tremendous values by comparison in hi end IMO.

Thanks Mike. Would be great if I could hear them someday. BTW, if you still have your ARC gear, the Alexia sound great with both D'agostino and the ARC electronics.

I think that's what they consider desert silver. It a gorgeous color

I am pretty sure (99%) it is. ...The standard Desert Silver color.

=> Wilson Audio: Authentic Excellence: The WilsonGloss Finish

* That last 1% remaining, Deb would know. :)

<<<>>> Regarding loudspeakers' colors (when not made of beautiful and gorgeous and exotic real wood);
a picture or two, and in real life in front of you, and with the light's angle reflecting on and from them,
it can play tricks with your eyes, which is natural, and can affect your mood too, of the moment, and of the future.
Thing is you never know for sure, but we always adapt with our entire environment, and colors can change dramatically when adjacent to other colors.

Color's preference is a choice, and no two people have exactly the same preference.
...Naturally because we all have different set of eyes and preferences in life.
And often we prefer the colors we are exposed to, and not by choice necessarily.

Desert silver, with a blue sky, and some turquoise water (aquamarine) colors surrounding it;
a nice audio expedition, sitting high on a camel, I think.

The color used in that photo was a custom color specifically for the photo shoot of the Alexia's when we launched the product.

With the colors he has in that room, I think Macadamia would match really well. But if "matching" the walls isn't what he wants, you really can't go wrong with Desert Silver (my Sasha's and my WP 6's are Desert Silver). It is more of a beige than silver. Topaz is very close to this color as well. Would match the carpet more than the walls, so they would pop when up against the dark brown walls behind them.

Thanks Deb! I always trust a lady when it comes to color choices! Desert Silver looks great!

"Porsche Titanium Brown" custom color?

That's great Deb that you elaborate further on colors. :cool:

Anytime guys!

Don't just take my word for it. Their are so many to choose from. I will show you samples of a lot of the colors we have done. Look at the colors and options before deciding on a final color :)

Doesn't matter !! We'd love to have more women here,that's for sure,but Deb has been with us from the start !!
