Yesterday evening I listened to Johannes Brahms' Symphony No. 4 in E minor, Op. 98 ~ Clarlos Kleiber with the Vienna Philharmonic (1981) on a Deutsche Grammophon on an "Original Image Bit Processing" CD.
IMHO, a nice performance but brutally awful sound. I'm not knocking the Red Book CD format but, I think, DG for some terrible sounding recordings. From my small collection, it seems to me that their "Original Image Bit Processing" efforts were no great success. Your opinions?
