Awesome Ken. This is obviously my first Lampi dac. I know how good they can sound. I am hoping to go direct from this dac to my balanced 211 amps and be blown away. I am not one to eschew preamps but it might work really well in this case. When I consider another Lampi, it will probably be DSD only.

I think another wise decision. That Lampi B7 DAC is designed to run directly to the 211 amps from what I've read. I'd love to be a fly on the wall when you and Mike get your Lampi combos up and running.

Hi Buddy,
I've heard them on several occasions and I have to tell you that they are nothing like a traditional dac. Music is so three dimensional with amazing vocals. Tremendous air around each instrument and voice. Sweetness and clarity, just incredible.
If you get the right tubes for your taste, holy cow, there is nothing better.

I just tracked it online and noticed it's reporting delivery Friday by end of day instead of Thursday, which is annoying (though I guess we can't complain too much about second day delivery from Poland) but I should still be able to meet up with you if your schedule permits.

Once I get the unit, I'll start a new thread.
Don't worry about if it's Thur/Fri. If you get it Friday, I can swing by after work or we can figure something out. At least it looks like I'll have it for the weekend which is more important.
I know how special the Lampizator can sound and we'll talk about tubes once she breaks in. I am so excited. Thank you for the attention.

In the past I have had not so good times with Lampizator but it looks like just maybe they have got to the bottom of things & are starting to produce a product that I would consider owning. Look forward to hear more from people with a few thousand hours on their products. No, that wasn't meant to be cynical.

Any tube plans in the works? I know you will likely stay stock at first, but I am sure Mike has laid off some rolling advice on you....

I understand Kev. I feel more comfortable now that some units have been delivered plus I am pretty local to the service guy (not that I'll need them). Friends who have them, love them.
I'll probably get the Psvane WE replica 101D's (I don't have as many options with the balanced Lampi - which makes it easier
) and there's one rectifier that I was recommended (I keep forgetting the name).
