What Vinyl Do You Have On The Table?

cool. enjoying getting up every 7 minutes to change the record? :P

I gotta give my Kevin Gray 2019 release a spin.

[emoji23] indeed.

I used to detest the 45 rpm vinyls for this very reason. It was just so impractical with the manual belt switch on the Vpi Prime.

But now it’s almost the opposite. As the Taurus is so convenient to use, I enjoy the fact of having the possibility to leverage that capability.

It’s probably also, as I have been cycling a lots during the social distancing. So I’m in excellent shape. Not a bother, as there is less mass to lift from the chair [emoji3] [emoji249].

LOL. for that reason, I should like sides cut in half with two Jap DD tables that start and stop in less than one second.

BUT, I still prefer listening to a record for a bit longer. Probably also that while I luv Jazz, it's not my staple diet so nicely mastered and pressed Jazz @ 33 1/3rd is good enough for me.

enjoy :coolyeah:

Agreed. I’m usually very happy with the Speakers Corner and Tone Poet re-issues.

I just ordered some of these Music Matters Jazz releases to test them out. Doubt they will become my regular fare, with shipping €80 a pop in Europe.

joining in : :P

Freddie Hubbard ‎– Open Sesame - Blue Note 80 Vinyl Reissue Series - 2019 - remastered by Kevin Gray - Pressed By – Optimal Media GmbH

Lee Morgan Vol. 3

Music Matters Jazz, 2-vinyl, 45 rpm Blue Note re-issue, remastered from original analogue tapes.

The 45 rpm re-issues require a bit more running, but SQ rewards the active vinylist.

Prince ‎– HITNRUN Phase Two - 2LP - his last album - released Dec, 2015 - still shows he had so much more great music he could have made and released.

I do have one more of these: Johnny Griffin/ The Congregation.

Music Matters Jazz, 2-vinyl, 45 rpm Blue Note re-issue, remastered from original analogue tapes.

SQ is really pristine.

That’s interesting, I did not recognize Andy Warhol’s handiwork on the cover.

Yet another fantastic SpeakersCorner re-issue, better than other versions out. Great clarity, bass, dimensionality and sound-staging.

It’s kind of nice to have the Stones among your background singing groupies when making a record.

The label tells it all, doesn’t it?

The Artist (Formerly Known As Prince) ‎– Emancipation - 1996 - best 2019 reissue imo - 3 hours spread over 6LP's of smile on face pleasure for the very first time on vinyl.

Dave DK ‎– Val Maira - 2LP - 2015 on Kompakt - Tech house? just great electronica

Rob Waterman/ Duets. Nice Analogue Productions LP in the usual quality.

The music is kept simple, often acoustic. Really nice.

Just binge-watched the latest season of Bosch during the lock-down. Had to listen to “Patricia”.

Wonderful album.
