Yes, it specifically states remastered from the original master tapes.

Amazing sounding!
the original recording is digital - no doubt the mastering for vinyl is analog :)

Cafe Blue was recorded at Chicago Recording Company in early 1994 by recording engineer Jim Anderson. It was the first release Barber recorded for Premonition Records. Recorded in 16/48 kHz on a 32-track Otari machine

I wish they were more straight forward (less deceiving) in their descriptions.

All I know is this is the best version I have heard to date. It does specifically state on both the description on the site and on the cover that it was Remastered by Jim Anderson from the Original Master Tapes. What the heck else do you have to go by when picking out which albums to purchase? Do I literally have to research all back ground of an album prior to purchasing it? That just really seems deceiving to me. However, on the flip side, it is amazing sounding, by far the best version of this album I have heard.

"TAS Super LP List! Special Merit: Informal
Remixed from the original master tapes by Jim Anderson at Capitol Studios
Remastered for vinyl by Bob Ludwig at Gateway Mastering
Lacquers cut by Doug Sax, 180-gram double LP pressed at Quality Record Pressings!

Singer/pianist's underground classic 1994 album is rich in melody, moodiness and minimalist pop!
"Top ten albums all time by a female jazz vocalist!" — CD Review"

So what are they claiming on the soon to be released One Step version that they are charging $125 for?

"
180-gram 45 RPM 1-Step plating proces, double LP pressed on VR900-Supreme Vinyl

Cut from original analog work masters by Kevin Gray at CoHearent Audio
Strictly limited to 5,000 pressings worldwide"

To me these descriptions are deceiving.

To me these descriptions are deceiving.

I hear you, it really is deceiving. Like you said, your happy with the recording, and that’s what matters at the end of day.

INXS ‎– Kick - 2 × Vinyl, 12", 45 RPM, Album, Reissue, Remastered by Miles Showell @ Abbey rd 2017.

I am no fan of 45rpm releases of albums, but this is stunning and bukkakes every release to dirt. Smokes original AU and mofi pressings.

Depeche Mode ‎– Violator - 1990. 2007 DSD remaster - better than my original UK pressing - a little different.
imo - The BEST album of the 1990's.

New Order ‎– Brotherhood - 1986 - best album of the 80's? certainly in the top 5 imo

Yep, from my High School days in Seattle.

Nautilus records half speed master, 33 rpm nice sound

Always had a thing for Nancy

This is just enjoyable, nice to relax and listen!

I didn’t realize George Marino was involved in the engineering of this album.
