What Vinyl Do You Have On The Table?

A Winged Victory For The Sullen ‎– Iris

Bryan Ferry ‎– Avonmore - wonderful album and a lot better sonically than Olympia - no Clearmountain ruining the mix and Miles Showel doing the vinyl mastering

This is fun. “Mystery Man” is clearly a predecessor to “Barracuda”, slightly seventized though. You can hear the tight shirts and batting pants. Barracuda has more cohones.

Overall, I would wish Beth would have a bit more dirt in her sound. She plays a very clean sound, great player though. But just comparing to the likes of Joan Jett.

"Magic Man" was one of my favorites back in the day. I saw them in concert in a small arena during one of the first big tours, before Little Queen was released. Roger Fisher was crazy :)...

I don’t know why, but I associate Americana with the the likes of Johnny Cash and others.

A lot of us started somewhere in life.

This really is a decent sounding album, IMPAEX 33 rpm

I bought this blind, however not unfamiliar with Tim Hardin.

While “If I was a Carpenter” is not on this 45 RPM EP, it’s a song most would know or perhaps your favorite artist has covered.

Unfortunately Tim picked up a heroin addiction which he eventually succumbed to.

Ólafur Arnalds And Nils Frahm ‎– Trance Frendz - An Evening With Ólafur Arnalds And Nils Frahm

Still have my week of release pressing.

Nice! From the research I did the original release was pressed in 4 or 5 locations (I can't remember), but the Canadian pressing has always been considered about the best sounding. The one distinguishing thing is the first run had a textured jacket and all other pressings had a smooth jacket!

Recently seen the article on Electric Recording.

Wanted to hear what this was all about.

Sonny Rollins - Way Out West in Stereo.

You can see, feel and hear the quality. However, pulling the record out from the jacket was a struggle and I can’t get it back in, maybe I’m tired, it’s been a long day.

The playback was amazing, simply amazing.

Worth the price of admission? Playback yes, and if the sleeve fits back in the jacket, then double yes.

Great album, really like it.

Tried to get my hands on that one, but I was too late. Had to drop top dollar on a sealed Analogue Productions out-of-print re-issue.

ER had pressed some great albums, and vow not to press more than 300 on most if not all.

Top end in price, and at that level only a few select will enter my collection, and will play them
as I do all.

I just checked and this is what I have. Even though I had already started my career at this point I was still working 4-6 hours a week at Record Bar to get the 35% employee discount and access to the label supplied Demo disks. We still had label reps coming to the store a couple of times a month when they were visiting the radio stations.

Fleetwood Mac - Rumours (1977, Jacksonville Pressing, Textured Sleeve, Vinyl) | Discogs

From what I have found the first release was pressed in Los Angeles CA, Santa Maria CA, Jacksonville IL, and WEA Music of Canada (I think that is it but I could be wrong). I know it was pressed in the UK shortly afterwards (also with the textured sleeve).

Mine is this one:
