What Vinyl Do You Have On The Table?

Great electronic music mastered by Bernie Grundman. Jazzy, uptempo electronica. Great chill out music!

This is the first time I'm listening to the LP. On side B is a track sampling from one of my favorite drum and bass artists: Lamb. Love Lou Rhodes' vocals.:audiophile:

Great album, highly recommended!

Allen,
Lucky to have that K&D sessions on vinyl!
I recently downloaded the hirez version and it really is fantastic. Bet the vinyl is exquisite.
Nice one.

Superb album. the re-issue is supposed to be excellent as remastered by Burnie Grundman and has a couple of extra tracks as on 5 LP's vs 4 from the original.

Hard to believe I have been spinning this for 17 years now - how time flies

German pressing. Easily the quietest vinyl I've ever heard, including QRP! A must for Beatles fans!

Hans, I got that Kind of No Blues CD you recommended. Unfortunately I've been spinning LPs primarily and haven't gotten a chance to listen to it! Will let you know when I do though! ;-)

IMO this is Lenny's best album. This album has more Curtis Mayfield / Prince influences than the others.

The first time after this Kravitz album when I had a similar feeling was with d'Angelo's Voodoo album.

And he was able to repeat that with the recent Black Messiah album:

Lucinda Williams, "Down Where The Spirit Meets The Bone". Vinyl. Music is great, surface noise is nil, could use a little more air, probably a little too much digital compression was used.

Hans, to clarify, the music is 'just ok'. Sorry for the confusion.

I do like her cover of Gordon Lightfoot's 'If You Could Read My Mind'. But you will enjoy the sonics. I recently purchased and played Anne Bisson's Portraits and Perfumes, an album of all covers, and while sonically good, didn't reach the same level as Holly Cole here. The presentation on Ms. Cole's LP is much more natural, and she will sound like she's singing in the room with you. Spooky good!

The War On Drugs, "Lost In The Dream". Double record album put out by Secretly Canadian. I've listened to this album a few times over the last couple of months. Great album.
