It's entertainment, science fiction, drama, adventure, action/tension, comedy, ...not crappy reality TV (voyeurism).
And in that 'space', 'Gravity' 3D is all entertainment of the highest (space) caliber.

I just wanted to mention that I watch a lot of movies with friends, so I "save" certain movies. For example, I had Pacific Rim for a month, saved it for a chance to watch with my brother. I am "waiting" on nebraska and Dallas Buying Club for some friends. In 10 days I should be seeing the Captain America Movie. Not this weekend because we are all busy.

And you and I saw Gravity the way. Just one mistake: Shouldn't the movie have been called "Lack of Gravity?"

1. Two more channels added (back/rear, for a 7.1-channel audio soundtrack - Dolby TrueHD @ 16/96).
2. Better picture quality, over the first BD release. ...Contrast, colors, ...improved.
3. Nicer looking picture cover. :) ...And a slip-case cover too (sleeve - embossed).

* Better overall presentation, and for less money ($8-9). ...Picture wise mostly. ...Extras are a little bit less but that's ok if the picture quality is improved (I'm not into extras, unless of...'The Heart of Darkness' type, from 'Apocalypse Now - Redux').
- Sound quality is equivalent enough. ...From both versions.

But this newer Diamond Edition is the one to get, and @ the price it was a worthy upgrade to me (I luv that musical, I luv the director, I luv it all). ...Compared to 'Les Miserables' on Blu-ray (only $10)? ...Different, but I still prefer 'Chicago' overall.
 
I wish they'd put All That Jazz on blu ray. Today I got Remains of the Day. This week I get my new computer so I will be down a few days setting it up.

Barry, ever thought of "upgrading" your Oppo BDP-105 player to the latest BDP-105D - Darbee Edition? ...That Darbee thing seems to be all the accepted/enhanced rage now. With it internally implemented no more need for 4K remastered Blu-rays from Sony and few others.

All that Jazz gets the 4K treatment; with Darbee we can only gain some more, I truly believe.

I re-watched 'Die Hard with a vengeance' (BD) last night. ...Felt asleep before the end.
Bruce Willis was a funny actor, so was Samuel L. Jackson. ...Now they are even funnier.
 
Yes, do you have a spare $1,200? If it was available when I bought my oppo last January I would have gotten it. However. People have said that the jvc and krell give just about the same quality picture. In olden days I could have gone to a store to see the difference, but since I cannot now, I don't want to spend all that money to take a chance.
 
Last night the PLQ won, with a majority. And the PQ took a hell of a beating! And that is it.

After that I decided to watch this (I don't know if anyone here is a fan but I am),
and for the first time ever with that nicely improved picture quality (4K Remastered) ::
