Oh yeah!!! I've been diggin' on this too! The first season was very good but if it was done for HBO or Showtime, etc...I think it would be really something!

* The bad people are bad, and they are few of them (to be killed, or hurt very badly).
The good people, and they are only one of them, is real good.
...Almost too good for my own good.

This ain't no 'Lawrence of Arabia'!

* Ok, it's a comedy, almost a romance; no it's a crime drama, a reality check, a soap opera, a day at the doctor's office, the debility/dysfunctionality of the human race, life in the city, ...it is whatever you want it to be. ...But 'Lawrence of Arabia' it certainly ain't.

Did I like it? ...With my yesterday's overall mood it was ok.

Vikings - History Channel

We have watched the last 6 episodes of this series this past week. Not a bad series!!!

We had company last evening so we will be sitting down in a few minutes to catch the Season Finale of "The Americans". I am very happy that this has been renewed for second season.

Before last night, last night, and tonight ::

It's a Blu-ray Box Set (two BR discs); which contains five fantastic French comedy films, and three shorts.
...Awesome! ...Total = 415 minutes.
...Plus few more things of interest.

P.S. This is an AudioShark's exclusive; meaning that only AS's members are aware that I watched this (and still watching tonight). No other site at all are aware of this, only you guys and gals. :)
Plus the reviews are hard to get by (and for a very good and obvious reason), plus this has never been released before, plus I highly recommend it if you don't mind too much the subtitles (but Jerome, Andre, and I, we don't need that).

This is comedy cinema at its very best! ...First class!

Suspense until the end, although you know what's going to happen.
Very good!

That's a very good one Jeff!

Are you familiar with Milos Forman's flick 'Amadeus'?
Because I'll be re-watching it tonight, on Blu-ray, the Director's Cut.
If you guys like the music of Mozart, then this is it; this is a fabulous flick!
This is hi-res multichannel audio, and with the volume cranked up it is awesomely sublime!
...Plus the acting and storyline of this flick is top notch! ...In particular F. Murray Abraham. ...And Tom Hulce is certainly very funny as Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart.

The cinematography is totally sumptuous! ...And did I mention the music conducted by Sir Neville Marriner? ...WoW, just WoW!

+1...

I did re-watch 'Amadeus' on Blu-ray last night, just like I said I would.
And it was even better than what I said yesterday.

Let me put it this way very simply to you gentle folks of the AudioShark forums.
If you truly value first rate classical music (operas and all) like me, and also the original venue where Mozart himself conducted Don Giovanni opera back then (same hall), splendid costumes and colors and extravaganza entertainment of the highest auditory and visual caliber, then you'd better get this Blu-ray movie.
It is essential in any serious music and movie lover library.
This is what Movies & Music are all about.

I have the DVD, and the Blu-ray; and the BD is vastly superior; audio and video wise.
Plus the BD is only $15 or so at some places (it's a Digibook too, and with a separated second disc, a CD music only).

You don't need a 500-foot screen to watch it, and you don't need a five million dollars surround sound system to listen to it either.
All you truly need is to get the Blu. ...And that is all. :)

And if somehow you don't fully grasp my drift, and that you are not totally convinced, I will refund you the price you paid for that Blu-ray title, and you still can keep it!

Just buy the damm thing, and climb higher on the happiness ladder of your senses.
Fifteen bucks only, not like five hundred thousand bucks!

I could probably write five books about it, but I'm going to use only five words instead:
"Magnificent, Full, Tender, Funny, Charming." - Roger Eberts

...And only one word from my own brain: Soulful.

It has been quite a while; so I watched Stanley Kubrick's 'Spartacus' last night. ...On Blu-ray, of course.

* What can I say that you people don't already know regarding this Stanley Kubrick's flick?
- I enjoyed revisiting it, and on Blu-ray it is the best version so far.

* If you loved Tom Cruise in Michael Mann's flick 'Collateral',
I think you're going to love him in this one too.

It's a cool flick, with interesting characters and plot line.
And that Blu-ray is first rate; audio and video quality wise.

=> I love the car chase sequence.

I watched this one last night; but on Blu-ray ::

1. Love this flick!

2. This Blu is not the best looking one around, but it still beats my previous two DVD versions: the first one a non-anamorphic version (ouch!) and the second, anamorphic (better).

3. MGM and whoever is now behind, don't invest time and money to give us better looking older classic flicks on Blu-rays, like 'The Great Escape' (1963) here for example.
