=> I DREAM OF WIRES: THE MODULAR SYNTHESIZER DOCUMENTARY

Done! Doomed; time to get back on track now. ...Too many wires, I need some solid connection from now on.

Still no baseball. I might read a book. or watch Field of Dreams, The Natural, Major League, Angels in the Outfield (old and new) Trouble with the Curve, Bull Durham, 61, Pride of the Yankees, The Jackie Robinson Story, 42, Babe, The Babe Ruth Story, Kill The Umpire, It happens every Spring, Eight Men Out, Pride of St. Louis, Sandlot or anything with Kate Beckensale in it.

NHL Hockey, Pittsburgh vs. Anaheim picture only. An oldie, George Benson Breezin, is the audio. I like hockey and tunes. No need for any commentary.

Hi Bob,

I have been busy!!
Thor sif new.jpg
First I saw the movie Thor. By the way, there is a lot of “Dark” out there: “Thor: The Dark World,” Star Trek (“Into the Dark”), Spider-Man (“Turn Off the Dark”) and Batman (“The Dark Knight”). We need flashlights!

It was OK. I saw it in Imax 3D and the 3D was bad. See this is a regular theatre.

At home, with friends, I saw “The Usual Suspects.” A good, well acted movie which I had seen before. Stephen Baldwin was the weak spot here. The movie lost something for me seeing it a second time.

Star Trek The Next Generation Season 5 came out this week and I have been viewing and enjoying many of the episodes here. They have updated the special effects and music, it is 7.1 disc, and it looks and sounds terrific.

I also saw a dvd of The Outer Limits. It was an episode called, “I, Robot” and it starred Lenard Nimoy! For a show 50 years old it was rather good.

We live in a dark world Barry, so they have to make dark movies. ;) ...Dark makes money anyway. ...Bright not so.
And bright people know that. :D

Ha!

________

In the end of the long dark tunnel of ages, when we'll all be in heaven, all is bright.

In writing this, I don’t want to sound like a TV snob. You know: the person who hates everything on TV but is watching it all the time. With the choices we have today, I am not stuck with just three channels of repetitive and often dreadful stuff. I get to watch movies, baseball, and better TV shows old and new. Could you imagine if this were 30 years ago, with no DVDs, no cable, no DVRS and all the networks had this reality crap? (And the reality crap is scripted)

Currently there are three TV comedies and three TV drama that I mostly, but not always, watch. And when Baseball goes off (sob, sob) in the fall, I often pull out on DVD/Bu Ray a TV series that I will watch for the winter. The first time I did that was maybe 20 years ago with Star Trek (TOS) on Laser Disc. I then got that series on DVD. It was not the set, They sold them with two episodes on each disc. A few years ago they updated the sound, special effects and video and released it on Blu Ray and it was terrific! They have now given the same treatment to The Next Generation and are up to season 5. So, after watching a couple of episodes, I decided to go back to season 1. I skep much of the first half, they were not great episodes. But starting with the Byners, the show just got better and I am enjoying it.

Just completed watching all 13 Episodes of Season 1 of "House of Cards" the Netflix original series staring Kevin Spacey and Robin Wright, It was really well done and I am now looking forward to Season 2.
