Rance, Try to find an original, clean Janus label vinyl recording if you can. Real nice black background and very dynamic... similar dynamics as the MFSL pressing, but a little less fat in the bottom like so many MFSL's can be.

Thanks Mike. Maybe when I get my turntable back out again...:hide:

Thanks for putting these guys back on my radar. Lotus is good, I favor the title track and River. I ended up listening to a few of their earlier albums as well.

An advantage over about 90% of Prog bands, Soen's vocalist can sing. Very interesting sound with a mix of Tool and Opeth. You can still hear the influences on Lotus but the band seems to be more into their own more so than the earlier albums.

I like Opeth's album Sorceress quite a bit. I have about 4 of their earlier titles

Soen, Lotus - Might be one of my favs of the yr. Kinda a mellow Tool'ish sound. The vocals are ridiculous, not one bad tune. Took me several listen through's and it finally hit me. It was really good at first listen, but as usual, after listening through many times, shit just happens. Killer release.

I purchased their discography last yr (bandcamp) after hearing a couple tunes. If you like prog/rock genre, highly recommened. Cant wait to hear this on my new in-bound atma-sphere pre

Check out the Lunacy tune. The ending is wonderful, goosebumps even

How lucky am I to find a very pristine copy of this special out-of-print RR recording. Superb SQ.

Why special? Well, of course it’s great Duke stuff and Hyman gives it a nice entertaining touch. But other than that, it’s actually Robocop playing.

Hyman played the pieces in 1992 on a Bösendorfer 275SE. The piano was an early version of instruments recording the pianist’s key strokes in order to play it back with a playback mechanism afterwards w/o the pianist.

The recording was made in 1993 w/o the pianist present.

Another great Freddie Hubbard album from his time with CTI. Freddie Hubbard, "Red Clay". I read somewhere that the original title was "Mississippi Mud" but, for some reason, CTI wanted it changed.

Artist: Nima Ben David
Album: Resonance
Label: MA Recordings
Format: 176/24 WAV File

Nima Ben David plays the Viola de Gamba, a Cello-like instrument from the Baroque period. The sound quality is absolutely stunning.

Well, not tonight but last night...
First my wife and I watched Bohemian Rhapsody. Then I had to put this on. I’ve probably watched this concert ten times. I’m always amazed at how great these guys were live.
