I bit the bullet and ordered an Avenger. I will be getting the Signature version with a 10" 3D arm, but I did upgrade to the Magnetic Drive platter. This will be my last TT I ever buy,so I went all out.

Now the wait begins!
 
Congrats, Mark! I've been eyeing this TT for awhile now myself. Heard it in various rooms/setups at the Capital AudioFest. Great sounding TT!
 
Awesome Mark! Did they give you any idea on how long it would be before they ship? My new Ref 6 won't ship until sometime in January.

Mark, I'm being told that they will start building it on Monday and I should get it in 3-4 weeks.

Congrats on the REF 6 !
 
Congrats on your Avenger Mark! It sure sounded and looked fantastic at RMAF! Can't wait to hear it when we visit in December.

This is terrific, congratulations! I just looked at a photo of the Avenger and it looks amazing. You really went all out. Let us know when you receive it.

Fantastic news! Congrats and looking forward to your listening impression compared to the Classic 3. What cartridge are you planning to use, the Lyra Kleos? Any plans to step further up the chain within Lyra or other?

Mike, I will be using my Kleos. If I ever get enough funds after this purchase I'm thinking hard about a Miyajima. I heard the Avenger with a Miyajima at RMAF, and it was magical!

Congrats on the Avenger... it's the modern day equivalent of the Micro Seiki DDX-1000. Are you going to get the SDS?
 
Tick-tock-tick-tock................. Waiting for a new piece of gear is not fun! I'm getting anxious.
