Siltech Royal Signature Series

Hi Steve. The PS Audio top of the line P10 is not current limiting. The PS Audio P10 regenerator is the only device that can actually remove THD. Also, is corrects phase shift and regulates output voltage dead on. Also, a new one will set you back $6K.

I wish I had the opportunity to try Siltech Signature series loudspeaker cables. Certainly that would have been my preferred choice and I'm confident that Kings would best the WW PE. That said, I do not want to understate the formidable performance of WW PE G7. The WW PE G7s are built well. I am very happy with the WW but honestly, I only have them because the dealer special was too good to refuse. I can live with them as IMO, loudspeaker cables are less critical than say stage 2 signal cables and comparatively the outcome between the two loudspeaker cables in my system would be marginal.

As for the RMII, I agree the RHII would have been just fine for the MC2301s. Again, the outcome was a result of a deal of the day. I have tested the emissions of the RMII and performed the same test against other brands. Siltech RMII have ZERO emissions. No BS with Siltech. Real deal.

For me the local dealer price for Siltech has always been a difficult one.

Thanks again

Seems you have been very fortunate striking good deals, you lucky bugger :D I doubt I could have passed either one up either :) I like the looks of big beefy cables and both the Mountains and Platinum's have big and beefy in spades.

Ah, you feel the King might best the Platinum, interesting. One never has enough access to all the gear they are interested in. With that statement I would like to try both the Prince and King against the Plats :)

Nice!

Are you describing 2 separate systems i.e. 2 PS10's and 2 Pass amps or is this just one setup? So if the Ruby Mountain is supplying the Pass, what kind of cable are you using to connect the PS10 to the wall? You mention a dedicated line but that would be to your wall receptacle, so I'm assuming you are using the PS10's stock cord to connect it to the receptacle?

If it's 2 systems and not one, why aren't you using the Ruby Hill in the 2nd system to connect to the 2nd Pass intergrated? Did you find there was more of a noticeable difference connecting it to the Krell player than to the amp?

Hi Rod. I don't no why the posting showed up more than once. I only submitted it once. Anyway, I have one system. From fuse panel #8 gauge Cardis cable to Furutech platinum receptacle. From receptacle PS Audio AC12 power cable to PS Audio P10 Regenerator input. My last post had a couple typo errors.
Krell Cipher
Guarneri Memento

Wow!..So Rod, they are factory terminated with the NCF and they allowed you to option up on the RHII, correct?

Love, their new cloth bags instead of the plastic netting. I think, you can leave those on. Others have said that the older plastic netting caused slight tonal discoloration to the sound. I didn't notice but slid mine off anyway.

I hate looking at Siltech pics!!! :exciting:

Ah gotcha thanks. You never posted twice it's just how you worded how things were connected that threw me off.

Yes indeed, factory terminated, I find Siltech very good to work with when it comes to your connector of choice.

I was surprised to see the little booties for the barrels :) as I just recently received my initial Ruby Hill II back in November (with the now older/original Furutech carbon/rhodium connectors, the NCF's hadn't been released yet plus I didn't even know such a thing existed) and it still had the orange plastic netting so this must be a change for the new year. I 1st seen these booties in pics posted of the Triple Crown cables and just assumed they were only for the flagship cables.

I can't imagine how the plastic nettings would have any impact on the sound but I'm not engineer, I kept mine on my initial cable plus my Golden Ridge II just to keep them from getting marked up.

I suppose the only critique I have about the cable packaging is that for cables of this price they really should be using something other than cardboard boxes. I really like what Kimber uses with their Select series, the flight cases. Nordost has some really nice wooden boxes as well.

Could you compare the NCF RHII with non-NCF and report back? I'm very curious.

In terms of look, I like the "old" black carbon fibre look. The silver looks a little weird to me. But if these sound better, I may opt for these on my future Absolute Dream. My current ADs use the original CF plugs.

Wow, Absolute Dreams, very nice!

I find it hard to compare power cords because of the shut down process involved and the time it takes to switch over but I did install the new cord on the same component I had my original Ruby Hill II on, my Lexicon MC-12 so I'll be paying as close attention as I can to any differences. I moved the other Ruby Hill II over to my Furman IT-Reference. That replaces my Kimber PK-10 Gold, I moved that to my tv. The IT-Reference isn't plugged directly into the wall though, it's plugged into my Furman SPR-20i. The 20i has a 20A IEC so I can't use any of my 3 after market cords on that as they are all 15A IEC. I'll eventually get a Siltech with the Furutech 20A IEC. The new NCF version won't be available for a few months according to Furutech.

As for the looks I'm not sure which I prefer, the NCF is a bit blingy :D The true black carbon does look great. I believe the difference in price is only appx. $40US (I think I seen that on the cable company's website) so not much difference there.

I asked Furutech about incorporating the NCF tech into non power related products in the future and the response was that they were looking for possible uses elsewhere in the product lines and to stay tuned :)

Thought I'd post a few pics of my other RHII that has the original carbon/rhodium connectors as a comparison.

I had an opportunity to try a Siltech Classic phono cable to compare to the Nordost Valhalla phono I currently use. Although the stage was slightly more defined with the Siltech the Nordost did everything else better, way better dynamics overall.

Surprised by that result as I thought the Classic Anniversary would have had better synergy with my all Siltech IC's and PC.

Could just simply have been a case where the Nordost is a larger AWG cable perhaps??? thus contributed to giving you more of just about everything like you describe, that would certainly make sense.

The main reason is the synergy of your system with the Nordost cable. System Matching. On another setup, may give different results.

I would say that the Valhalla is a superior cable to the Classic Series phono. I think you would find the Empress Crown and Double Crown to outperform Nordost. Possibly even the Avondale II.

I use Furutech Silver Arrows and would consider that better than the Classic also. The Furutech Silver Arrows needs at least a week on a PHONO cable burner to start to work it's best.
