Siltech Royal Signature Series

Mike, your best purchase for 2016..... :fingers: Big congrats!!

HOLY S%^T!!! Yeah, that'll do pig, that'll do :D

What all did you get?

Full Siltech loom from head to toe. Power cables too. Went Classic 700 Series for IC's, went with Royal Sig for the source IC's (DAC, turntable, etc). Already had the Royal Sig speaker cables.

I'm in heaven!

The Royal Sig phono cable was a huge "WOW".

Thanks Kev! Hard to argue with that! Love my Siltech cables.

Ah so all 700 series for the Classics, nice. Which Royals did you settle on, intro series like the Prince speaker cables, so Princess, Golden Ridge II, Avondale II or did you step a level or 2 for these?

It'll be interesting to get your impressions of comparisons between the Siltech power cables and your Kimber Palladians. Which power cables, the SPX-800?

I went with Royal Signature Prince speaker, phono, AES/EBU. The rest are Classic Series 700 and SPX-800 power. I'm delighted with the results. The system is so much smoother and musical with a beautiful "flow" and no edge or bite whatsoever, but without giving up any detail.

Oh dear, the Avondale II is the only one I don't have!!!!:baby:

Congrats Mike, I'm sure you'll enjoy.

Thanks! The phono is really impressive. I held off upgrading my Furutech phono until I could find the "right" one. The Siltech was definitely worth the wait.

Hi Mike. I was reading these postings, and there great. Congratulation on your great Siltech cables. These cables are great. I also own Siltech cables. I have a pair of 2.5m Siltech Royal Signature spade to spade speaker cables, Siltech Royal Signature Ruby Mountain II power cable, Siltech Royal Signature Ruby Mountain II power cable, and Siltech Royal Signature Princess interconnect. I also use PS Audio P10 Power Regenerator. The soundstage, depth, black background, detail, nuances, are all incredible. I really like this forum. Long live Siltech. Take care. Ron

Siltech has the best, no contest.

A 2m XLR Royal Signature pair for my MC2301s is still on my dream list.

Hi Steve. My Siltech Royal Sig Princess are XLR to XLR. These were the first Siltech cables I bought, and then went from there. These cables will last a lifetime, and resale value is high. Good luck.

I forgot to mention that I own one Siltech Royal Signature Ruby Hill II power cable.

Ruby Mountain II G7 powering my amps, factory terminated with Furutech FI-50(R)s plugged into Furutech Flux 50. Awesome combination.

I have an i770 RCA too which I plan to redeploy as an ADC input from pre-am REC out. I consider this cable to be on par with Furutech LineFlux. Often I would favour this cable during an AB selection because it is a little more laid back.

I could only imagine how much better a Queen XLR would be for example. If someone has a 2m length of Queen or higher and wants to sell, feel free to PM. I would prefer dealer contact for known reasons but I would consider verifiable provenance.

Steve, cool. The Princess is pretty darn good. I just bought a new Pass Labs INT-60 amp. I should receive it in a couple of weeks from dealer. I heard it at the Taves show in Toronto recently, and it sounded awesome. I'll plug a Siltech Signature Ruby Mountain II G7 power cord into it.

The XLR that I would like to replace with Siltech is Wireworld Platinum XLR G7. I'm thinking that the Princess would approximate the Wireworld reference cable. I would love for someone to weigh in on a comparison based on their own experiences here!! One thing about Siltech is that ssssssshhhhh and sparkle is hard to beat!

Definitely go for the RMII. If you can swing a Furutech Flux 50 to hang off your new Pass Labs that would be phenomenal authoritative combination. Remember the Flux EM/RF filter is not current limiting so don't be afraid to hang it off an amp.

A couple comparisons I've always thought about were not just the Princess vs the G7 Platinum given the pricing similarities but knowing how good Siltech is I've always wondered how well the 550i and 770i would fair against the G7 Platinum.

Have you ever compared your 770i to the Platinum?

I forgot to mention that I own one Siltech Royal Signature Ruby Hill II power cable.

I was wondering why you had the Ruby Mountain II listed out twice in your initial post, was the 2nd instance meant to be the Ruby Hill II or were you saying you have 2 Mountains plus a Hill? Either way a very nice cable loom. Which model speaker cable, Prince perhaps?

Rod...Yes! The WW PE bests the i770 in my system but not a totally fair comparison as it is RCA vs XLR in a totally balanced system.

The i770 I have is RCA. Similarly the Furutech articulate a little more resolution at a cost of a slightly more forward soundstage. Here it gets down to material and listening mood. Often though I would lean towards listening to the i770 and that was the frustration. I wanted even more of the Siltech good stuff!!

I recall putting this cable up against Shunyata Zitron Anacondas and the Siltech i770 RCAs sh##ted all over those unshielded Shunyata XLRs even though they had the XLR advantage.

Have you ever had an opportunity to pop some Siltech Signature series speaker cables into your system to compare to your WW Plat's? If looking at a pricing comparison the Plat is very close to the King.

Also if you don't mind me asking about your Mountains, what made you decide to go with Mountains vs Hill's since your 2301's are only 15A I believe and not 20A which may benefit more from a heavier gauge cable. Siltech is not at all forthcoming about the gauge of their cables, I've tried several times :) but they assured me even the Hill can do 20A all day long capable up to 80A nominal according to them. What they did say about the Mountain makes sense it is capable of a higher current limit without magnetic leakage.

I wish I had the opportunity to try Siltech Signature series loudspeaker cables. Certainly that would have been my preferred choice and I'm confident that Kings would best the WW PE. That said, I do not want to understate the formidable performance of WW PE G7. The WW PE G7s are built well. I am very happy with the WW but honestly, I only have them because the dealer special was too good to refuse. I can live with them as IMO, loudspeaker cables are less critical than say stage 2 signal cables and comparatively the outcome between the two loudspeaker cables in my system would be marginal.

As for the RMII, I agree the RHII would have been just fine for the MC2301s. Again, the outcome was a result of a deal of the day. I have tested the emissions of the RMII and performed the same test against other brands. Siltech RMII have ZERO emissions. No BS with Siltech. Real deal.

For me the local dealer price for Siltech has always been a difficult one.

I listed 2 Siltech Ruby Mountain II, but I meant 1. Yeah I use the Prince cables on my speakers.
