Here are a few pics taken the other day. I have procrastinated taken pics for a while now since my system seems to be changing a bit from time to time. LOL
I need a bigger room. Hopefully when I clear out the component boxes and crates from the other side of the basement and put them in a storage locker, I can de-clutter a bit.

Holy cow Christian! Stunningly beautiful. I can't believe how awesome your room looks. Thank you for posting.

Sick room!

What are the weights (or resonance devices) sitting on top of your amps?

Thanks.....a combo of Walker lead/brass for weight and damping along with a Stillpoints LP1 in the middle. The sub chassis has the same deal, but you can't see it for obvious reasons. The spikes on top of the those devices are there to merely discourage the cat from taking a heated nap.

Christian - what a great room! Love the gear. How's the Pass/Wilson synergy?

Thanks Mike. Pass and Wilson is like bread and butter, imo. I was using XA-100.5's with W/P 8's prior to this config back in 2011.

Christian, absolutely love your room! Well done, sir!

What color are your Alexandrias? Very nice.

That is a Mercedes Benz color called Almandine Black Metallic. It is like a dark metal flake maroon.

That's a nice little man cave. Are those isolation pucks under your chair?

LOL, they are for adjusting seat height. I actually have one less puck per leg...2 instead of 3 in the picture. They are simply high density foam and felt furniture sliders.

stunning room. Do the speakers overdominant the rooms ceiling height? Is the ceiling treated? Very envious of such a beautiful space.

Nick

I thought there might be an issue, but not really. The ceiling height is 7.5 feet, except where there is HVAC venting partially above the right channel speaker. Fortunately it's a consistent 7.5 feet in between the speakers where the music sound field is. I did have some Real Traps mini traps used as clouds on the ceiling. They killed the room ambience, so I took them down. I was oversold traps and use about a third less than was sold to me.

Nice to see up to date photos of your room, Christian - it's looking great.

I love your RCA LS artwork. Did you do those yourself?

Actually those are pieces from Classic Record's corporate office's I bought through TheMusic. They were already framed.

I would be very happy in that room, congrats on a great system Christian! How do you like the Allnic?

The Allnic is fantastic. The only tube one needs to be concerned about rolling are the rectifiers. NOS Bendix 6106 was my favorite unitl I got some NOS Phillips/Valvo's GZ34 made in Holland. They are still breaking in but are far and the way the best sounding rectifier out of the box I have heard with the H-5000 DHT. I have a pair of rebranded Mullards on the way, Blackburn English factory to see how they compare to the Phillips.

Christian, have you heard the Xs pre? Curious how it compares to the Xp30...
