Rockitman's System

Hi Mike and Allen,

The improvement is similar to the active isolation table I had under it prior to getting the AF1 which now has the Table Stable under it. The degree of isolation is not as significant as active isolation. The main area's of improvement are improved bass tautness, clarity and transparency along with an overall improvement of musical flow and ease throughout the frequency range.

Wow, what a beautiful turntable and the Stillpoints look fantastic under it. Does it help the sonics? The only negative report I've heard about Stillpoints are with them under a turntable.

What red vinyl are you playing in this pic?

I have recently acquired all 10 Beatles MONO records released in 1982 in Japan. They have some real bass thump and the ping/pong stereo image is not there, meaning that the music fills the area between the speakers much better than the stereo versions of the same albums. If you have a dedicated mono cart, these versions are a must for Beatles fans.

The only TT that could have an issue with Stillpoints are those of a suspended design. I don't think that is a blanket statement, but Frank750 indicated that on his SME table, the sound was muddied.
