I have the "Pre" piece of my system up for consideration this year. The two candidates are the Pass XS...with a fair trade in of my XP-30 and in home demo, may be the way to go. On the other hand, I have started to consider a tube pre...The Purity Audio Design Ultra series. There are only two tubes to worry about and lots of over the top internals like Dueland custom caps, Bybee rails& purifiers, pure silver wiring, ect, ect. I need to hear it or one of the models a step below or two to decide. Hopefully after their next up coming show they will have a demo unit available. Another good thing about Purity is that they are only a 2.5 hr drive from me. Could be handy should service or mods be needed down the road.

Thanks Christian. If you do do the home demo on the Xs, please post your thoughts vis-à-vis the Xp30, the latter unit which I'm considering as the pre for my system.

very nice!!! those wilsons are big boys!!!! h5000!! nice im going to hear the h3000 and h1201 this week and the amps and pre. i dont think he has a 5000 yet. great choice.

Which diffusors do you have in the center of the speakers? RPG/Vicoustics/other?

Wow, what a beautiful turntable and the Stillpoints look fantastic under it. Does it help the sonics? The only negative report I've heard about Stillpoints are with them under a turntable.

What red vinyl are you playing in this pic?
