I always thought of this video whenever his name was mentioned.

What a great performer in a live setting.

 
RIP Joe. It makes me very sad every time one of the original Woodstock performers passes. Richie Havens was the last one I remember. I'm definitely making another pilgrimage to Bethel Woods next summer to catch as many of the originals as I can. I caught Santana and CSN this year.

Put on the Woodstock LP when I got home from work to listen to little help, great track! Just wish the record was in better shape... He really got the crowd going. Love his voice and energy. Used to watch wonder years, which is when I first heard his version...
 
Crap. One of my favourite artists. Saw him live in Paris and London. Great performer.

I have never come across an artist who could better other people like Joe Cocker could with their material. He truly was something exceptional in my book....... i would rate this up there with "A Little Help From My Friends". Pretty much explains Joe too.... God speed Mr Cocker.
