Ian - are you going to be there in July? I'm planning on going to meet with Mark and hear Paul's new big ass speakers.

I would personally stay away from any tube amps with Magicos. For one thing, the S series seems to have a magical tube like midrange already and I can't imagine any tube amp doing justice to the low end - but that's a personal thing.
Pass mates well, as does Spectral and Hegel (and apparently Constellation though I can't confirm it).
Keith,
I heard the S1 and S5 with a 37 wpc Viva SET and loved them. I also heard the S3 at Rhapsody in NYC with Absolare preamp and both a Goldmund 280 (?) and Rogers EFH-200II with KT-150 if I am not mistaken. Also really good. For my taste a slightly warmer side of neutral amp is ideal on the Magico S series. I heard a pair of Q3 and can't comment as the setup was all wrong. That was a spur of the moment thing.
Myles runs ART monos and I bet that would be awesome.
Thank you Joe. The two make a wonderful combo.
I have a new server made by Sunny of Scaena fame (a prototype was the Chicago Axpona and real product at The New Audio Show) and a DAC from a second company coming in shortly and will be interesting to hear that too.
In the meantime, I'll just have to suffer with the new Lyn Stanley and Jacintha tapes.

I truly appreciate the fact that this is a very subjective issue and that what I'm going to say will seem controversial but having tried the XA0.5 series, the X0.5 series, XP-30 , the XP-25 , INT-150 integrated and the INT-30A amps from Pass...... I failed to develop any sonic enthusiasm for any of them . They have terrible resale value , dealers like Reno discount them to death (two related factors) & they're perhaps cleverer at marketing and wooing reviewers than at actual technical proficiency. When I compare Pass with products from manufacturers like Lamm & VAC - something seems to be missing on the technical integrity front. YMMV , let the rotten tomatoes fly!
I'm not sure of the price range for VAC, but I'm pretty sure the most expensive Pass Labs products you mention are 1/4-1/3 the price of Lamms, so I hope they aren't too competitive...When I compare Pass with products from manufacturers like Lamm & VAC - something seems to be missing on the technical integrity front.
