Lumin MQA Settings

Peter, i just thought it was me having those issues with Tidal
so somehow "glad" to hear that it seems to be a more general problem.
I noticed the problem some weeks ago i think around 2 weeks......hope they ( Tidal ) will get that solved....as it can get annoying.

Exactly the same for me.
 
Playing MQA albums tonight without any stuttering or delay loading tracks. Tidal had an upgrade which .....hopefully corrected the problem. Wonderful not having to deal with the recent problem...keep fingers crossed.
 
It's been kind of hit or miss with me tonight after almost a week of clear sailing. Started acting up after about an hour so I switched to Quboz for a while. Went back and it has been fine for over an hour this time. As more and more of the people affected by the storm get back on line any changes they make will be put to the test. I suspect until they get all of their upgrading done it is going to be that way for a while. Glad I have the alternative service to fall back on. And Peter thanks for all you are doing to help with the issues, we all appreciate it.
 
I turned my iMac off last night and when I turned it back on this am to play music through my iPad Lumin app, the 'favorites' album list that I had created was nowhere to be found. The list / section is in the Roon app but not visible within the Lumin app which is what I use to play my MQA albums. The Tidal ' Master' list is there but not the Favorite section I had previously created. Any idea as to how I can get the list to,once again, show up in the Lumin/ Tidal section...thanks
 
Peter...after the upgrade tonight the Lumin app will not play almost any of the tracks I try to play both through Tidal or the main album areas.
 
Please power cycle the Lumin player.

If you are using Roon, please reboot your computer running Roon as well.
 
Firmware 9.05 improves MQA sound quality for Lumin A1 / T1 / D1 analog outputs.

It also reinstated Tidal gapless MQA, so there'll be no pause between tracks in the same album. However, it requires even better Tidal throughput for your region, which is not the same for everybody.

Awesome Peter. Still a bit of a delay when starting an album here, but absolutely no gap between tracks. Thanks so much!
 
Peter - did this update improve the sound or am I imagining things?

Out of curiosity how would a Lumin unit (I guess U1) be set-up in a system with Tidal and Roon.
- Assuming you have a MQA capable RAAT DAC. Would you set Tidal up in Exclusive Mode and Pass thru. Open the Roon ap and somewhere select the Lumin U1 and then endpoint be whichever DAC?
