Peter..with the latest upgrade tonight...am i correct, when reading your explanation of what is NOW taking place when i listen to the Tidal 'Master' albums with the Lumin app, is the final unfolding and true MQA listening..?..i have been listening tonight to many Master tracks and what i hear sounds so much better then the same track on Roon.....every track...
 
Just upgraded the firmware on my S-1. Looking forward to trying it out this weekend.

Yes. No matter you use Lumin app or Roon, full unfold should take place. Read the front panel and check that you see MQA is displayed in both cases.

Coming back from the first day of Hong Kong High-End Audio Visual Show 2017, I'm surprised by the number of people who are aware of MQA and asked us about it. Happy to see and talk to a forum member in person too! :hey:

Another MQA question. I keep the front panel display turned off. Will the app display the MQA information?

Yes Lumin app shows it, but calloway is also using Roon - when using Roon to playback, currently there is no way to reflect the MQA decoding status in Roon UI, so he'll have to read the front panel.

Peter..when using the Lumin app the player does reflect the MQA status on the front panel screen but does not say MQA when using Roon. The sound is ..as expected...not as good either with Masters albums...

Roon is limited to 24/48 MQA FOR NOW. Use the Lumin app for full MQA.

Yes, not only is the Lumin now fully MQA enabled, it also defies the laws of gravity. ��

Interestingly, the small picture shows the Lumin upside down but the larger view shows it normally.
 
Linn Kazoo Play full MQA to Lumin D1, whish the could mark Mqa album, and have Masters when using Tidal.

That must be down to browsing on a tablet/phone device (with an orientation). On my PC they are both upside down.
