Delta sigma for PCM, hence can play up to DXD rate and chipless for DSD. Big 6 is R2R.

Apparently, that is the exact one that Paul got. I got it from the Lampi website…what a coincidence.

I cant wait to hear what he thinks...
 
The pic is non PC board B7. I had one like that. And upgraded it to a pc board and one tube .
slund wise it was great as is. I jut wanted more options for tube rolling.

Hey guys, beyond what I have read here I am not at all familiar with Lampi's record. Sounds very promising. Quick question on Lampi's presence in the US, have they a decent dealer network? How about after-market support if needs to be serviced? Also what is the reliability of the gear? Thx

Fred is the distributor here in the US. He is a great guy, and supports the Lampizator line 100%. Lukasz the owner, has been extremely helpful in my dealings with him.

Thx. So Fred only represents Lampi in the US or other brands as well. Does one order Lampi products from Fred or is there an established dealer network? And again, what about after-market service? If a unit needs repairs/to be serviced, does it go back to Poland (??) to Lukasz or is there a Lampi-certified aftermarket service center here in the US where repairs can be made? Thx again.

Hello the answer you seek is yes but of course there is also ones likes. For me the msb I have has some advantages over the B7 I have . But for musicality there is something about the lampi that's just better. Some say it's about a better reality of music and how it should sound.
Owning a couple of pairs of infinity speakers . Anrnie nudel coined a phrase that fits this thread. He feels that most sound from most speakers and Amps is not music but sound. When it's right it's music . Using this stament as a guide the lampi is just that it produces magic that is magic. Where the msb plays very well but it's not music it's almost mechanical in it's presintation. Beyond this the ability to roll tubes gives it synergy with many more systems. Allowing it to be tuned for the desired system.
Dont look back look ahead to a better sound that is music

All repairs would go through Fred, and then back to the factory. Shipping is fast through DHL. It takes two days !! Purchases can be made through Fred or myself, as I am now set up as a dealer. I am just finishing up my salon as we speak, and will be demo'ing the Big 7 in all its glory. For those in the central Florida area, I can arrange an in-home demo in your system !!

That's really cool JDL, congratulations! Now I know who to contact if I want to demo a Big 7. You probably should add to your signature line that you are now a Lampi dealer.
