I am going to sell one of my tables - probably the AMG
That's a beautiful table. Certainly one that I'd love to own someday. Only problem is I need to get my current one broken in![]()
Joe
Nice avatar, but just think how nice they would be if they were in your room and you were listening to them:exciting::exciting:
Bob has a good point there Joe.
Ha!
I also say Strads. You won't rest until you have them for some time.
If I had to write in an alternate, I would say the Zellaton Emotions. They would fit great in your room and your Job amps would drive them easily!:audiophile:
Yes...except the Zellatons that JV and RH were cooing about in Munich are the Zellaton Reference loudspeakers which cost $99,750...not sure what the Emotions go for but hopefully not $100K
Joe...those Harbeth 40.1s are looking mighty good to me too![]()

Bob,
My room is L-shaped. It's essentially 14x15 with a 7x9 add-on. That gives me a 21' wall on the long side but can't use 5-6 feet of it. Room volume is actually pretty good and I don't seem to have any room issues, at least nothing obvious.
All models of the Zellaton line uses the same type of handmade drivers, so they all have the same characteristics. Emotions are $24,500. Transparency and speed of these speakers are like no other. Even the Harbeth distributor, Fidelis, now sells Zellatons.
I got mine from Audio Arts, but I had to settle with the poor man's version of the Goldmund/Ch Precision amp. The Job 225 is incredible on the Zellaton's.
The Zellaton Emotions would work perfectly in a room that size. My room is 16x22.
Joe, the Zellatons have the speed and transparency of the Tads but have been absolutely fatigue free every time I've heard them. I really think you would like them.:audiophile:
Joe. Once you get a hook on Harbeth with nice box sounds it will be so hard to go back with fancy speakers.![]()
I think you are right. Jerome was telling me how much he loves his 40.1's, even more that the Alexia that he demoed.
And you know how much Jerome loved his WilsonI still remember first email I got from Jerome asked me about the Harbeth
