Richard Becker of Aum Acoustics does amazing work. Yes, I do love mine too. Works perfectly and sounds even better, really has no sound of its own.

Exclusive club membership! Mine works great with a vintage Leak 20 tube amp as well…despite warnings to the contrary.

They only make the SE version now. But you can add on the stage 1 ($850.00) or stage 2 ($1750.00) upgrades at an additional cost. I've been running the STP-SE and I'm very pleased.

I am not quite sure what this is.... it sounds a lot like a passive pre-amp.... sort of.... please explain its real purpose.... I am sure it is in their right up somewhere but I got lost in all the gobbly gook ...

The W4S pre-amp is a passive/active hybrid... keeps passive as long as it can but will kick to active when needed.

The iTube has 0db or 6dB of gain and can be used as a buffer or single source preamp with volume control.

Let me know what you think of it. I am looking forward to listening to the W4S. Sounds like a very high quality volume control. The reviews I have read compare against extrememly high end pre-amps, a couple directly pitting it against Esoterics.

So why do you need another pre-amp? If you are looking to clean up the digital "harshness".... hmmm W4S has a couple very impressive items ...

I would love to hear what you think when you get it... because their descriptions really do seem to be entering the "snake oil" territories ....
