Hi All
Today I said goodbye to my beloved ProAc 2.5's after 15 years of enjoyment. In their place is a brand new pair of Harbeth SHL5's.
I'll have to admit it was hard making the decision , but this is something I've been thinking about for the last month.
The Harbeth's are sitting on the appropriate Skylan stands and are mass loaded.
Setup was very easy as we set them in basically the same place where the ProAc's were.
Now for the sound. Superb sounding right out of the box and I'm sure it will get better as I get more hours on them.
So far, I'm hearing pinpoint imaging and a wide soundstage. No trace of harshness in the mids or hi's. Bass is ok for me as I'm not a big bass freak.
Please note, this is just a cursory review. I'll add more as I get more hours on them.
So far, I'm a happy camper
