High efficiency speakers for SET

I'm not sure he lists the 1w/1m for the completed pair (I did not re-read the whole article), but if the Cornwalls are 100db, and LaScala's are 104db, I am pretty sure they would be SET friendly.

I would be interested in hearing them with around 60-75 watts of "glowing glass".:peace:
 
I've used 8 wpc modified ASL Wave amps with beautiful success. Eventually I'll hear my Carver Black Magic 20 wpc amp on them. I'm sure anything would work.

Just when I think I've decided on some O96s you guys bring something else up that I want to research. :)

I'm sure learning a bunch about SET stuff. It's a whole different world from what I'm used to. And fun toooo.

Psst ... The Avantgarde Acoustics speakers starts at 107DB efficiency. The Mezzo G2 I heard are 108DB. Go listen ... you might like them although I must admit their looks is an "acquired taste" of sorts :D
 
In addition to the parkers, I have also picked up Zu Omens and Tekton Lores which I will have all lined up in my listening area within a week or so. Will try with 2w SET, 600w class D, and Red Wine 30.2. Should be an interesting shootout. Anyone in SW CT is welcome to come for a listen!

I ordered a pair of monkey O/96s this evening. So now my search for an amplifier begins.

The biggest factor after being a quality speaker was that they were reasonable in size so I can move them in and out of my room.

Nice! Congrats on the Devores. Can't wait to read what you have to say about them. They're my favorite speaker right now.
 
I just heard that my O/96s should be leaving Devore Monday-ish.

The end, I mean beginning is almost here. :)
