Gobel Divin Monarque

These are images of the new Gobel Divin Monarque that will makes its premier at the High End Show in Vienna on June 4-7th 2026.

This is a e3 way speaker system using 2 - 15 inch woofers, 2 8 Inch Midranges and 1 EMT Air motion transformer for high frequency.
It is 96 db efficient , 21-24000hz, 4 ohm It weighs 380kg each and is 194cm by 54cm by 68cm They come packed in fight cases with castors and all are finished in real piano lacquer not automotive paint..
 
Impressive to be sure, but 380 Kg is 836 lbs. I’d be interested to know how you’d get speakers that heavy into someone’s home, since it generally isn’t practical to expect to drive a lift truck in someone’s front door.

Let's face it, for the most part, most of this stuff, with very few exceptions, requires some rationalization to accept its looks and to convince the wife, if you have one. My wife has learned not to ask. She just shakes her head as new stuff moves in and the old moves out, when it happens. She doesn't comment about looks and knows better than to ask about cost. It is a very healthy way to live out this crazy audiophile life of ours.

One thing that helps for all this stuff, is to have a dedicated room, rarely visited by the wife, kids or grandkids. I have ONLY ONE CHAIR in my room for a reason. LMAO.

I have the Gobel Marquis, similar look but guillotined above the tweeter, and barely notice them when the lights are off and music streaming.
